What are toy haulers?

Toy hauler with the ramp and awnings deployed

Toy haulers are a versatile and unique RV type designed to accommodate both living space and a garage area for transporting recreational vehicles, such as ATVs, motorcycles, or bicycles. With their large rear ramp doors, toy haulers are easily recognizable and come in various sizes, ranging from 20 to 40 feet long and weighing between 5,000 and 18,000 pounds. This RV type is best suited for adventure seekers and outdoor enthusiasts who want to bring along their recreational equipment for an action-packed trip. When towing a toy hauler, it is essential to have a suitable tow vehicle, such as a heavy-duty truck or large SUV, and be familiar with towing large trailers, particularly when making tight turns and reversing.

2023 Grand Design Toy Hauler

Zach was great. Clear communication and alignment as we prepared for our trip. The RV was in great condition and zach walked me through how to use everything. Would definitely rent from him again!

Toy hauler rental information

Renting a toy hauler typically costs between $150 and $250 per night, depending on the RV's size, features, and age. You will need a tow vehicle with sufficient towing capacity, such as a heavy-duty truck or large SUV, to pull a toy hauler. Many guests prefer to have their RV rental delivered directly to their destination because it's convenient and eliminates the need to tow. This option is helpful for those inexperienced with towing or lacking an appropriate tow vehicle. Upon arrival, your RVezy host will walk you through the basic operations of your rental, including managing the black (waste) and gray (sink and shower water) tanks, operating slides, and using the generator if needed. Additionally, they will explain how to safely load and secure your recreational vehicles in the toy area of the garage.

Marcie and her van were great! Marcie is a very low key host - she is very responsive and was so flexible about pick up and drop off times. Her solar batteries weren't working before our trip and she made sure they were replaced in time. Everything worked great and the van ran great. We spent a week in Acadia in the van. It was small enough that we were able to take it anywhere (including Cadillac Mountain, which doesn't allow anything over 21 feet) and park it with ease most places. We were worried about the sleeping arrangements but we ended up being super comfortable. We never used the propane, but the A/C worked great.
