At Winagami Lake Provincial Park, a short walk or bike from most sites reaches the day-use area with a playground and wading pool, the boat launch, and piers. The shallow lake supports boating, paddling, windsurfing, and fishing, and is a stopover for migrating waterfowl.

Notikewin is more rustic: visitors should bring their own water, as water is not available on site, and the access roads are narrow and heavily wooded, so larger RVs and motorhomes should plan carefully. Black bears, moose, and deer are common, so food storage discipline matters. Expect gravel access roads, treed sites that may need levelling blocks, and limited or no sewer hookups outside private parks.
