Campgrounds and RV parks near Okanagan-Similkameen B, BC

Okanagan-Similkameen B is an electoral area in south-central British Columbia covering the rural land around Oliver and the Okanagan River corridor, at the heart of Canada's warmest wine-growing region. The area sits between Skaha Lake and Osoyoos Lake, with vineyards, orchards, and pocket-desert landscapes stretching along Highway 97. It is one of the sunniest and driest parts of Canada, which makes it a strong shoulder-season RV destination as well as a summer one. Campground options range from full-service private RV resorts to small provincial park sites without hookups. Twin Lakes Golf Course and RV Park sits west of the valley on the road toward Keremeos, while The Orchard at Oliver, The Lakeside Resort, and Apple Beach RV Park cluster closer to the lakes and wineries around Oliver. Inkaneep Provincial Park, about 6 km north of Oliver on Highway 97, is a simple drive-in park off Tucelnuit Drive, tucked among riverside cottonwoods. Most visitors base out of one park and day-trip to beaches, tasting rooms, and hiking trails within a short drive.

Private parks such as Twin Lakes Golf Course and RV Park, The Orchard at Oliver, The Lakeside Resort, and Apple Beach RV Park take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Summer weekends and long weekends fill early, and lakefront sites in the Oliver and Osoyoos area often book out weeks or months in advance for July and August. BC Parks campgrounds use the provincial reservation system at BCParks.ca, with bookings opening up to four months in advance. Inkaneep Provincial Park is an exception: its seven small sites are 100 percent first-come, first-served, with a self-registration vault at the entrance. The park often has sites available even during peak periods, but arriving earlier in the day during summer is still wise.
