Barraute is a small municipality in the Abitibi region of western Quebec, set in the boreal clay belt between Amos and Val-d'Or. The closest major camping destination is Parc national d'Aiguebelle, a Sépaq-managed provincial park reached by road via the Amos and Rouyn-Noranda corridor.
