Campgrounds and RV parks near Oak Grove Heights, AR

Oak Grove Heights sits in Greene County in northeast Arkansas, on the eastern edge of Crowley's Ridge, a narrow forested formation that rises 100 to 200 feet above the surrounding Delta farmland. The town is roughly a ten-minute drive from Paragould and about twenty minutes from Jonesboro, which puts several state park campgrounds and private RV parks within a short tow. The closest public option is Crowley's Ridge State Park, about nine miles west of Paragould on U.S. 412 then two miles south on Highway 168, with 26 campsites split between 18 Class B water-and-electric RV sites and 8 tent sites near Lake Ponder and Walcott Lake. Lake Frierson State Park lies ten miles north of Jonesboro on Highway 141, with a small seven-site campground on a 335-acre fishing lake. Private RV parks in the area include Lucky Camper RV Park, The Ranch RV Park, and Midway RV Park & Cabin Rentals, which give travelers full-hookup alternatives when the state parks fill up. The mix of state and private sites makes the area workable for both weekend anglers and longer regional road trips.

Both Crowley's Ridge State Park and Lake Frierson State Park book through the official Arkansas State Parks reservation system at reserve.arkansasstateparks.com. A non-refundable reservation deposit equal to the first night's non-discounted rate plus tax is charged at booking, and cancellations forfeit that deposit. Stays are capped at 14 rental nights within any 30-day period, with extensions subject to superintendent approval. Check-in and check-out are both 3:00 p.m. No refund is issued for early departure on two- or three-day holiday weekend reservations. Pets are welcome at all campsites. Private parks such as Lucky Camper RV Park, The Ranch RV Park, and Midway RV Park & Cabin Rentals book directly with the operator. Call ahead for big-rig clearance and hookup type.
