Campgrounds and RV parks near Log Lane Village, CO

Log Lane Village sits in Morgan County on Colorado's northeastern plains, next door to Fort Morgan and along the South Platte River corridor between Denver and the Nebraska line. The town itself is small, but Interstate 76 puts a mix of state park, state wildlife area, and private RV campgrounds within an easy drive. The anchor destination for RV travelers is Jackson Lake State Park, a 2,700-acre reservoir about half an hour northwest of town, where Sandpiper - Jackson Lake State Park offers electric sites on the west shore. Prewitt Reservoir State Wildlife Area - South End provides free dispersed shoreline camping to the east with a valid Colorado hunting or fishing license or SWA pass. Closer to Interstate 76 and services, Sterling RV Park and Wild Country RV Park handle full-hookup overnight stops for travelers moving between Denver and points east. For rigs staging out of the metro area, Denver East / Strasburg KOA Holiday sits along I-70 with pull-throughs and family amenities.

Jackson Lake State Park sites are reservation-only and handled through Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Reservations can be made online at cpwshop.com or by phone at 1-800-244-5613, up to six months in advance of the arrival date, and must be made at least three days ahead of arrival. Every vehicle also needs a valid Colorado state parks pass, daily or annual. Prewitt Reservoir State Wildlife Area works differently. Camping is dispersed and first-come, first-served along the shoreline, with no reservations taken. Anyone 16 or older needs a valid Colorado hunting or fishing license or a Colorado State Wildlife Area Pass to enter. Private parks including Sterling RV Park, Wild Country RV Park, and Denver East / Strasburg KOA Holiday book directly through their own websites or phone lines.
