Campgrounds and RV parks near Paragon Estates, CO

Paragon Estates is an unincorporated community in southeastern Boulder County, Colorado, sitting on the northwest edge of Louisville and about six miles southeast of Boulder along the U.S. 36 corridor. The location puts RV travelers within roughly an hour of two very different camping zones: the private RV parks along the Denver-Boulder Front Range, and the higher-elevation state and mountain-park campgrounds in the foothills west of Golden. Closest options tend to be full-hookup private parks such as Applewood RV Resort and Dakota Ridge RV Park, both suited to larger rigs and easy interstate access. For a more forested, mountain feel, Reverends Ridge - Golden Gate Canyon State Park and Chief Hosa Campground in Denver's Genesee Mountain Park sit at higher elevation with cooler nights and denser tree cover. Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon rounds out the mix for travelers who want to stage near the state-park trail system without booking inside the park itself. Elevation, road access, and shoulder-season closures vary widely between these campgrounds, so trip planning benefits from matching the rig size and travel window to the specific site.

Golden Gate Canyon State Park requires a reservation for all campsites, cabins, and yurts. Bookings are made online at cpwshop.com or by phone at 1-800-244-5613, and can be placed up to six months in advance of the arrival date. A vehicle pass is required in addition to the campsite reservation, and walk-in sites are not offered at Reverends Ridge. Chief Hosa Campground uses Denver Parks and Recreation's online reservation system, and a reservation is required. In-person and phone payments are not accepted, and same-day bookings depend on availability through the online system. Private parks such as Applewood RV Resort, Dakota Ridge RV Park, and Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon take reservations directly through their own websites. Summer weekends and holidays fill months out, so booking early is the norm.
