Campgrounds near Ridgefield
Ridgefield sits in Connecticut's Fairfield County, close to the New York state line and within an easy drive of state park campgrounds in the Litchfield Hills, the Hudson Highlands, and the Housatonic River corridor. There are no campgrounds inside Ridgefield itself, so RV renters typically base their trip around parks in Kent, New Preston, Southbury, and Putnam County, New York.
Kettletown State Park is a public recreation area on the eastern shore of the Housatonic River's Lake Zoar in the towns of Oxford and Southbury, Connecticut. Farther north, Lake Waramaug State Park covers 95 acres in the towns of Kent, Warren, and Washington, with land purchased by the state in 1920. Macedonia Brook State Park spans roughly 2,300 acres in Kent.
Across the New York border, Clarence Fahnestock State Park covers more than 14,000 acres in the Hudson Highlands of Putnam and Dutchess counties, with camping at Pelton Pond. Sylvan Lake Beach Park Inc, a private RV-friendly campground in Hopewell Junction, rounds out the nearby options.

Marcie and her van were great! Marcie is a very low key host - she is very responsive and was so flexible about pick up and drop off times. Her solar batteries weren't working before our trip and she made sure they were replaced in time. Everything worked great and the van ran great. We spent a week in Acadia in the van. It was small enough that we were able to take it anywhere (including Cadillac Mountain, which doesn't allow anything over 21 feet) and park it with ease most places. We were worried about the sleeping arrangements but we ended up being super comfortable. We never used the propane, but the A/C worked great.

We had a great time on our trip in Marcie’s Solis. She was straightforward, kind, and easy to communicate with.

Easy pick up and drop off. Joe and Kim go over and above to make sure your experience with the vehicle is a positive one.

We were very pleased with our rental from Joe and Kim. The response when we had a question was instant. The unit was clean and the functionality for a 2005 unit was surprisingly good. Would definitely rent from them again.
