Campgrounds and RV parks near Bal Harbour, FL

Bal Harbour sits on a barrier island at the north end of Miami Beach, and it has no RV campgrounds inside the village itself. RV travelers base themselves at parks in the wider Miami-Fort Lauderdale corridor and drive in to reach the beach, Bal Harbour Shops, and Haulover Park across the inlet. The closest full-hookup options are north along US-1 and the Florida Turnpike in Broward County. Hollywood KOA is a full-service campground located in Hollywood, Florida, positioned between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, with big-rig-friendly sites featuring 30- and 50-amp electrical hookups, water and sewer connections, and pull-through options. Yacht Haven Park and Marina and Northcoast Park and Marina add waterfront settings suited to travelers combining RV and boating plans. Further inland, Twin Lakes Travel Park and Florida Park Miami provide additional hookup sites within reasonable driving distance of Bal Harbour's beaches. Expect urban surroundings at most nearby parks rather than a wooded setting, and plan for traffic when driving to and from the barrier island.

Private parks in the area, including Hollywood KOA, Yacht Haven Park and Marina, Northcoast Park and Marina, Twin Lakes Travel Park, and Florida Park Miami, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. For winter stays, book several months out, as monthly and seasonal snowbird bookings often lock up sites from December through March. For day trips into the Everglades, campground reservations use a separate system. Flamingo and Long Pine campgrounds are reserved through Flamingo Adventures, an authorized park concessioner. Backcountry wilderness permits are booked online year-round on Recreation.gov, with reservations opening daily at 10:00 a.m. ET, 90 days before the trip start date on a rolling basis.
