Campgrounds and RV parks near Hillsboro Beach, FL

Hillsboro Beach is a narrow three-mile barrier-island town in northeastern Broward County, positioned between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. The town is only a few hundred feet wide in places, is almost exclusively residential, and has no campgrounds within its limits. That means RV travelers stay at parks in nearby Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach, and Coconut Creek, then drive over the Intracoastal to reach the sand. The closest RV options sit a short drive inland along the Federal Highway corridor and I-95. Highland Woods RV Resort and Breezy Hill RV Resort are among the nearest properties, with Aztec RV Resort- Motorcoach, Del Raton RV Park, and Paradise Island RV Resort filling out the shortlist. Most parks in this corridor are 55-plus or snowbird-oriented and lean toward long-stay guests during the winter season. Hillsboro Beach protects sea turtle nests during nesting season, and the Hillsboro Inlet at the south end of town is where a fleet of charter boats departs for offshore fishing.

Private RV resorts in the Hillsboro Beach area, including Highland Woods RV Resort, Breezy Hill RV Resort, Aztec RV Resort- Motorcoach, Del Raton RV Park, and Paradise Island RV Resort, book directly through each property. Winter monthly and seasonal sites can fill by late summer of the prior year, and short nightly stays in peak season are limited, so reserving early is essential. For those willing to drive farther, Florida State Parks take reservations through the state park reservation website at reserve.floridastateparks.org or by phone. Florida residents may book campsites up to 11 months in advance, and non-Florida residents may book up to 10 months in advance. Broward and Palm Beach county parks use separate county-run systems. Check age restrictions, rig-length limits, and minimum-stay rules before confirming, since several nearby resorts are 55-plus communities.
