RV camping near Vineyards, Florida
Vineyards is a master-planned community in North Naples, Collier County, positioned along Interstate 75 and Vineyards Boulevard between the Gulf beaches to the west and the Everglades to the east. The location puts RV travelers within a short drive of both coastal attractions and inland wildlife areas, making it a practical base for exploring Southwest Florida.
Several private RV resorts operate within a short drive of Vineyards. Crystal Lake RV Resort and Lake San Marino RV Resort sit in the North Naples corridor with full-hookup sites and lake features. Northtide Naples RV Resort caters to the 55-plus market, while Club Naples RV Resort Morgan RV Resorts and Sun Retreats Naples East round out the options closer to the eastern side of the metro.
Public land camping requires driving farther afield. Collier-Seminole State Park features vegetation and wildlife typical of Florida's Everglades, including large areas of mangrove swamp, and Big Cypress National Preserve is home to seven established campgrounds, five of which are open to tent or vehicle camping for travelers who want a park-service experience rather than a resort setting.
Things to do near Vineyards
The Gulf beaches at Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park, Vanderbilt Beach, and Barefoot Beach are the main daytime draw, all reachable in twenty to thirty minutes. Downtown Naples adds Fifth Avenue South shopping, the Naples Pier, and the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens.
For nature-focused trips, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary offers a boardwalk through old-growth cypress with alligator and wading-bird viewing. Collier-Seminole State Park includes large areas of mangrove swamp with paddling access, and Big Cypress National Preserve protects over 720,000 acres of swamp with a diversity of wildlife, including the elusive Florida Panther. Scenic drives along Loop Road and Turner River Road are popular routes through the preserve.
Rainy-day options include the Naples Botanical Garden and Coastland Center, both a short drive from Vineyards.

Naples runs on a strong winter-peak calendar. The winter, from December to February, is pleasantly warm and sunny, and the rains are quite rare. This is when snowbirds and vacationing families fill the private RV resorts, so sites at Crystal Lake RV Resort, Lake San Marino RV Resort, and Club Naples RV Resort Morgan RV Resorts tend to book months ahead.
Spring shoulder season, from April into May, brings warmer days and lower occupancy. It is a good window for last-minute trips before the wet season starts. The summer, from June to September, is hot and muggy, and due to high humidity the heat is sweltering, with near-daily afternoon thunderstorms.
Atlantic hurricane season runs June through November, with peak activity in August, September, and October. RV travelers should track National Hurricane Center advisories and confirm cancellation and evacuation policies with the campground before locking in a summer or early-fall reservation. At Collier-Seminole, reservations are highly recommended from November through March, and camping from June through September may be accompanied by biting insects and afternoon rains.

How to book campgrounds near Vineyards
Private RV resorts in the Naples area take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone, and several also list availability through third-party marketplaces. For winter arrivals between December and March, booking three to six months ahead is standard, and longer for monthly or seasonal stays at 55-plus properties like Northtide Naples RV Resort and Lake San Marino RV Resort.
Florida State Parks, including Collier-Seminole, use the state reservation system. Florida residents may make campsite or cabin reservations up to 11 months in advance of their arrival date, and non-Florida residents may make reservations up to 10 months in advance. Reservations are required for all campgrounds in Big Cypress National Preserve through recreation.gov, and can only be made up to six months in advance. Read cancellation, refund, and hurricane-evacuation terms carefully before paying deposits for storm-season dates.
What to expect on-site
Private RV resorts around Naples generally offer full hookups with fifty-amp and thirty-amp service, paved or grass pads, laundry, bathhouses, and Wi-Fi. Amenities at properties like Crystal Lake RV Resort, Lake San Marino RV Resort, and Sun Retreats Naples East commonly include heated pools and organized activities during the winter season. At Collier-Seminole, all sites have electricity, water, a grill and picnic table, and the 105 campsites accommodate all campers, from tents to large motor homes, with sites 1-19 for tents and pop-ups only, and a centralized dump station for RVs.
Roads in and around Vineyards are wide and flat, and grocery, fuel, and propane are easy to reach along Airport-Pulling Road, Immokalee Road, and US-41. Expect heavier traffic in season.
Bring insect repellent for mosquitoes and no-see-ums, especially near mangrove areas and after summer rain. Sun protection, hydration, and a weather app with lightning alerts are essential from late spring through fall.

help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Vineyards RV trip?
Absolutely, a pet-friendly RV rental Vineyards travelers love is just a filter click away on RVezy. Use the Pet-Friendly filter to see only hosts who welcome dogs (and sometimes cats), then message them directly with any questions about your specific pup. Once you're on the road, Collier County is genuinely dog-friendly: Naples Dog Beach at North Gulf Shore Boulevard allows off-leash play, and Lowdermilk Park has shaded grassy areas perfect for a leashed stroll. Many local campgrounds, including Naples Motorcoach Resort and Crystal Lake RV Resort, also welcome pets in designated areas. Pro tip: pack a collapsible water bowl, because Florida's heat hits four-legged travelers hard.
colliercountyfl.gov/your-government/divisions-f-r/parks-recreation/parks-beaches-preservesCan the RV be delivered to my campsite or hotel in Vineyards?
Yes, RV delivery Vineyards renters request all the time, and many local hosts offer it as an add-on. Instead of driving an unfamiliar rig through Naples traffic on Pine Ridge Road or I-75, your host can deliver the RV directly to your campground, vacation rental, or even a friend's driveway, then handle the full setup and walkthrough on-site. This is especially popular for delivery to Collier-Seminole State Park, Naples Motorcoach Resort, or KOA Naples/Marco Island. Delivery fees vary by distance and host, typically $2 to $5 per mile round trip. Filter for Delivery on RVezy to see who offers it, and message the host with your exact address for a quote.

You've got a huge playground within easy reach when you rent an RV in Vineyards. Hosts set their own mileage policies, with many offering 100 to 150 free miles per day and some featuring RV rental with unlimited mileage for longer trips. Planning a bigger loop down to Key West? That's about 280 miles one way, so look for unlimited-mileage listings. Always check the listing's mileage details before booking, or message the host to confirm.

Naples Motorcoach Resort and Botanical Spa, just minutes east on Davis Boulevard, is a luxury 55+ resort with pickleball courts and a spa. Crystal Lake RV Resort offers full hookups and a heated pool roughly 15 minutes north. Collier-Seminole State Park (20 minutes south on US-41) gives you a more natural mangrove setting with full-hookup sites. KOA Naples/Marco Island is family-friendly with a pool and pet area. For Everglades immersion, head to Midway Campground in Big Cypress National Preserve. Book 3 to 6 months ahead for January through March (Florida's snowbird peak), and use ReserveAmerica or Recreation.gov for state and federal sites.
floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/collier-seminole-state-parkWhen is the best time for an RV trip from Vineyards, FL?
The sweet spot for RV camping Vineyards is November through April, when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 70s to low 80s, humidity drops, and mosquitoes back off. This is also peak season, so campgrounds fill fast. May and October are excellent shoulder months with warm 80s temps and lower rates, though afternoon thunderstorms become more common. Summer (June through September) brings 90°F heat, intense humidity, and Florida's hurricane season, but it's also the cheapest window for a cheap RV rental Vineyards getaway if you're flexible. Insider tip: late January through early March offers the absolute best weather, but book your motorhome rental Vineyards listing at least 60 days out to lock in choice and price.
weather.gov/key/climateI've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?
You'll be more than okay, you'll feel like a pro by the end of day one. First time renting an RV in Vineyards is genuinely easy on RVezy because every host provides a hands-on walkthrough at pickup: how to operate the slide-outs, water and waste systems, generator, AC, and propane. They'll also share their phone number so you can text questions mid-trip. Many Naples-area hosts specialize in helping first-timers and lean toward smaller Class C motorhomes or travel trailers under 25 feet, which handle easily on local roads like Vanderbilt Beach Road or Tamiami Trail. Add 24/7 roadside assistance to the mix and you've got a full safety net. Pro tip: book a one-night shakedown at a nearby campground before heading out further.
fmcsa.dot.gov/ourroads/large-vehicles-share-roadWhat happens if my RV breaks down on the road near Vineyards?
You are never stranded on a Vineyards RV trip. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so one phone call gets you help whether you are parked at Collier-Seminole State Park or cruising Alligator Alley (I-75) east toward the Everglades. The roadside team handles flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, towing, and mechanical issues. Your host is also just a text away and is often the fastest source for quirks specific to their rig, and RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: save the roadside contact number on your phone at pickup so it is available offline deep in the Everglades.
rvezy.com/insurance-and-protectionCan I take my Vineyards RV rental out of state or into Canada?
Yes, interstate travel is standard on most RV rentals in Vineyards, FL, so a road trip from Vineyards up through Georgia, the Carolinas, or out to Texas is totally doable. Just confirm the host's mileage policy and let them know your route during booking. Cross-border travel into Canada is sometimes allowed depending on the host and the protection package you select, so message the host directly before booking to confirm. One firm rule: travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because insurance and protection coverage stops at the border. Popular multi-state runs from Vineyards include Naples to Savannah, GA (about 8 hours) and Naples to New Orleans (roughly 13 hours).
cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/know-before-you-goHow much should I budget for fuel on a Vineyards RV trip?
Fuel is one of the bigger trip costs, but it's easy to plan for. Class C motorhomes in the Naples area typically get 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class A coaches hover around 6 to 10 MPG, and a campervan rental Vineyards travelers love (Class B) can stretch to 15 to 20 MPG. Florida gas prices generally sit a bit below the national average. For a 4-day, 400-mile loop down to Marco Island and the Everglades in a Class C, budget roughly $130 to $180 in fuel. Pro tip: Costco off Naples Boulevard and Sam's Club near Pine Ridge usually have the lowest diesel and gas prices in town, and most larger RVs can fit their wider lanes.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Vineyards?
For peak snowbird season (January through March), book your campground 6 to 11 months in advance, because Southwest Florida sites fill the moment reservation windows open. Collier-Seminole State Park and other Florida State Parks release sites exactly 11 months ahead at 8 a.m. ET through the ReserveAmerica system, and the best spots are gone within minutes. National sites like Midway Campground in Big Cypress book through Recreation.gov on a 6-month rolling window. Private resorts like Naples Motorcoach Resort and KOA Naples/Marco Island take reservations directly on their websites, often a year ahead. Shoulder season (May, October, November) is much more relaxed, with 2 to 4 weeks usually plenty. Pro tip: set a calendar alert at the 11-month mark for state parks.
floridastateparks.org/learn/reservationsWhat are driving conditions like around Vineyards, FL?
Driving conditions around Vineyards are some of the easiest in Florida: flat roads, no mountains, no tight switchbacks, and well-maintained highways. The main routes you'll use are I-75 (Alligator Alley) heading east toward Miami, US-41 (Tamiami Trail) south to the Everglades, and Pine Ridge Road through town. Naples traffic does spike from January through March with snowbirds, so plan errand runs and pickups before 11 a.m. or after 2 p.m. Watch for sudden afternoon thunderstorms May through October, which can drop heavy rain fast, and keep an eye out for low-clearance bridges if you're in a tall Class A. Pro tip: avoid driving I-75 east of Naples after dark in summer (wildlife crossings are frequent through the Everglades stretch).
fdot.gov/traffic/What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Vineyards?
Campgrounds near Vineyards generally hit a high bar. Private resorts like Naples Motorcoach Resort and Crystal Lake RV Resort offer full hookups (50-amp electric, water, sewer), heated pools, laundry, Wi-Fi, and clubhouses. Collier-Seminole State Park provides full-hookup sites, potable water fill stations, a dump station, hot showers, and shaded sites under cabbage palms. KOA Naples/Marco Island adds a pool, playground, and camp store. For dump stations on the road, most Pilot, Flying J, and Love's truck stops along I-75 have them, plus the dump station at Collier-Seminole is open to non-campers for a small fee. Pro tip: ask your host which sewer hose and water filter come standard so you're not buying duplicates at the Naples Camping World on Tamiami Trail.
floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/collier-seminole-state-parkWhat's included inside the RV itself?
Most RV rentals in Vineyards come fully equipped so you can practically show up with a suitcase and groceries. Expect a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink, cookware), a bathroom with toilet and shower, comfortable sleeping for 2 to 8 depending on floorplan, air conditioning (essential in Southwest Florida), a furnace, and seatbelts for travel passengers. Many listings include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and basic linens. Wi-Fi and generators are increasingly common, especially in Class C and Class A units, which is handy if you're boondocking near the Everglades. Each listing page on RVezy shows exactly what's included, and you can message the host to confirm specifics like a coffee maker or beach chairs. Pro tip: ask about a portable fan, the Naples humidity is real.
flhsmv.gov/safety-center/vehicle/recreational-vehicles/What add-ons and pickup options are available for Vineyards RV rentals?
Hosts in Vineyards offer some great add-ons that take the work out of your trip. Common extras include bedding and linen packages ($25 to $75), kitchen kits, outdoor patio sets, generators (often $10 to $25 per day if not included), bikes, kayaks (perfect for Naples Bay or Rookery Bay), and propane refills. Pickup is typically at the host's home or storage lot, with a 45 to 60 minute walkthrough included. Mileage policies vary, with daily allowances commonly between 100 and 150 free miles, plus unlimited-mileage options available from select hosts. Want one-way drop-off for a family RV trip Vineyards to Orlando or Miami? Message the host directly from the listing page to ask, some are open to it for an additional fee.
visitflorida.com/things-to-do/outdoors-nature/rv-camping/How do payments and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is simple and secure. When you book an RV rental in Vineyards, FL on RVezy, you pay through the platform with a credit or debit card, so no cash changes hands with the host. A refundable security deposit is handled separately from your booking payment and is released after your trip ends, assuming the RV is returned in the same condition. To avoid any deposit issues, take date-stamped photos and a quick video at pickup and drop-off, top off fuel and propane if the host requires it, and empty the tanks at a dump station before returning. Pro tip: keep the dump station receipt or photo as proof that waste was handled correctly.
