Campgrounds and RV parks near Clear Lake, MN

Clear Lake sits in Sherburne County along the Mississippi River corridor between St. Cloud and the Twin Cities, roughly an hour north of Minneapolis via US Highway 10. The area mixes river-valley RV parks, pine and oak forest camping in the nearby Sand Dunes State Forest, and small private campgrounds serving weekend traffic from the metro. RV travelers have a compact list of options within a short drive. RiversEdge RV Park of Becker sits along the Mississippi east of town, while St Cloud Clearwater RV Park and St Cloud Campground and RV Park anchor the west side near the St. Cloud metro. A J Acres Campground offers a smaller, quieter setting, and Minnesota Airstream Park serves club-affiliated Airstream travelers. Most private parks in this corridor offer full or partial hookups, dump stations, and pull-through sites suited to larger motorhomes. Public land camping at Ann Lake Campground in Sand Dunes State Forest is primitive by comparison, with vault toilets, drinking water spigots, and no hookups, useful as a fallback when private parks fill on summer weekends.

Private campgrounds along this corridor take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. RiversEdge RV Park of Becker, St Cloud Clearwater RV Park, St Cloud Campground and RV Park, and A J Acres Campground all handle bookings this way. Minnesota Airstream Park is a members club campground with its own reservation process tied to Airstream club membership. For public land, Minnesota state forest campgrounds including Ann Lake in Sand Dunes State Forest operate first-come, first-served for individual and equestrian sites; only group sites are reservable. Camping fees are paid online on the day of arrival, or in person at a state park ranger station, rather than via self-pay envelopes on site. For Minnesota state parks in the wider region, all campsites are reservable through the Minnesota DNR reservation system up to 120 days in advance.
