Campgrounds and RV parks near Cologne, MN

Cologne is a small city in Carver County, Minnesota, roughly 35 miles southwest of Minneapolis along the U.S. Highway 212 corridor. RV renters use it as a quiet base for exploring the Minnesota River Valley, the southwest Twin Cities suburbs, and the lakes and farmland of Carver and Scott counties. Options within a short drive cover several styles of camping. Minneapolis Southwest KOA Holiday is a family-focused private park with cabins, tent sites, and full-hookup RV sites. Dakotah Meadows RV Park in Prior Lake sits next to Mystic Lake Casino Hotel and caters to big rigs on paved, full-hookup pads. Fish Lake Acres Campground and Peaceful Valley Campsites offer more traditional lake-and-country settings, while the Equestrian sites at Minnesota Valley State Park provide horse-friendly, primitive-style camping inside the state park system. Between the private parks and the state-managed sites, most renters can find a spot that matches their rig size, hookup needs, and preferred pace, whether that means casino shuttles and pools or quieter riverside terrain.
