Campgrounds and RV parks near Beatty, NV

Beatty sits on US-95 in Nye County, Nevada, about 8 miles from the eastern entrance to Death Valley National Park via State Route 374. The town serves as a practical basecamp for RV travelers heading into the park: it offers full-hookup RV parks, fuel, groceries, and a cluster of small diners and shops, at an elevation that runs meaningfully cooler than the valley floor. Options in and just outside town include Beatty RV Park, Death Valley Inn and RV Park, and Bailey's Hot Springs, which sits about 5 miles north of town on Highway 95 and includes access to covered mineral pools. Farther south, Tarantula Ranch in Amargosa Valley provides tent, RV, and glamping sites near the Death Valley Junction entrance. Inside the park itself, Death Valley National Park operates nine NPS campgrounds ranging from full-hookup sites at Furnace Creek to primitive high-elevation options in the Panamint Mountains. Most private parks in Beatty are open year-round, with the busiest window running from fall through spring.

Private RV parks in Beatty, including Beatty RV Park, Death Valley Inn and RV Park, and Bailey's Hot Springs, take direct reservations by phone or through their websites. Tarantula Ranch books through its own site and third-party platforms and offers a mix of tent, RV, and glamping options. Inside Death Valley National Park, only Furnace Creek Campground accepts advance reservations, through Recreation.gov on a rolling six-month window during the October 15 through April 15 reservation season. All other NPS campgrounds operate first-come, first-served. Full-hookup sites at Furnace Creek are limited and typically fill within minutes of opening, so create a Recreation.gov account ahead of time and be ready when the booking window opens.
