Osino is an unincorporated community along the Humboldt River in Elko County, northeastern Nevada, sitting just off Interstate 80 a short drive east of Elko. Most RV travelers use Elko as the practical base for the area, since the city provides fuel, groceries, medical care, and the closest cluster of full-hookup parks. Elko is the county seat of Elko County and, as of the 2020 census, had a population of 20,564. It sits about 21 miles from Lamoille Canyon and the Ruby Mountains, providing year-round access to hiking, skiing, hunting, and more than 20 alpine lakes, and the city straddles the Humboldt River.
