Most sites are within an hour's drive, and a few require ferry access. RV renters typically choose between wooded state park campgrounds, private commercial parks with hookups, and the concessioner-run tent campground at Watch Hill on Fire Island National Seashore. Eastern Long Island Kampground on the North Fork offers a private option with RV hookups and is the closest campground to Hampton Bays in the list.
