Campgrounds and RV parks near Norfolk, NY

Norfolk sits in St. Lawrence County in New York's North Country, a short drive from the St. Lawrence River and the Canadian border at Massena. The area is flat to gently rolling, with the river corridor forming the main recreation spine. RV travellers use Norfolk as a base for river camping, cross-border trips into eastern Ontario, and Adirondack day drives to the south. Campground options split between two sides of the border. On the U.S. side, Coles Creek State Park sits directly on the river and is operated by New York State Parks. On the Canadian side, Mille Roches Campsite - St Lawrence is run by the St. Lawrence Parks Commission on the Long Sault Parkway, while Upper Canada Campground near Morrisburg and the closer-in Jelly Beans Riverside Campground and Massena International Kampground are privately operated. Most sites in the area are seasonal, opening in mid to late spring and closing after Labour Day or in early fall.

Reservations run on separate systems on each side of the border. Coles Creek State Park is booked through the New York State Parks reservation system on ReserveAmerica, with a nine-month rolling window and same-day reservations allowed until 3 p.m. Peak summer weekends fill quickly, so booking as soon as the window opens is recommended for July and August. Mille Roches Campsite - St Lawrence is booked through the Parks of the St. Lawrence reservation portal, which opens once each winter for the full upcoming season rather than on a rolling window. Upper Canada Campground, Jelly Beans Riverside Campground, and Massena International Kampground are privately operated and take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. A valid passport or NEXUS card is required to cross between the U.S. and Ontario campgrounds.
