Cook Forest State Park reservations run through the Pennsylvania state parks system. Bookings can be made online through the state park reservation portal or by calling toll-free 888-PA-PARKS (888-727-2757), Monday through Saturday. Reservations must be made three days ahead of arrival and can be made up to eleven months in advance. Same-day walk-up reservations are also possible up to noon of the day of arrival, with a list of open sites posted at the contact station. Private parks use their own booking channels, most through their websites, RoverPass, or Good Sam. Summer weekends, holidays, and the fall foliage window are the tightest, so locking in dates several months out is wise. Black bears are native to the area, so food should be stored in a tight, secure container inside a vehicle or camper, and feeding wildlife is prohibited.
