The Clarion River is the main draw. Paddlers float a scenic stretch that connects Clear Creek State Park to Cook Forest State Park, with liveries in Cooksburg renting canoes, kayaks, and tubes through the warm months. Anglers target trout, warmwater game fish, and panfish along the same river and its tributaries. Hikers head to Cook Forest for the Forest Cathedral, a National Natural Landmark of towering old-growth white pines and hemlocks. Clear Creek State Park adds about 25 miles of hiking trails along Clear Creek and the Clarion River, with access to Beartown Rocks in the surrounding state forest. For slower days, Brookville's historic downtown, small local breweries, and the Redbank Valley Rail Trail sit within easy reach for biking or a walk.
