Campgrounds and RV parks near The Hills, TX

The Hills is a small village in western Travis County, Texas, sitting just south of Lake Travis and roughly 20 miles northwest of downtown Austin. RV travelers use it as a base for the Hudson Bend and Lakeway shoreline, with reservoir access, Hill Country day trips, and Austin attractions all within a short drive. Most overnight options in the immediate area are private RV parks rather than public campgrounds. Sunset RV Resort, Lake Travis Inn and RV Park, Sun Outdoors Lake Travis, Hudson Bend RV Park Inc, and Camper Resort on Lake Travis all sit within a short drive and offer full or partial hookups for standard rigs. Larger public options along the lake include Pace Bend Park, located in far western Travis County with more than nine miles of shoreline along Lake Travis, plus nearby Arkansas Bend Park, both managed by Travis County. Expect Hill Country terrain: rocky ground, cedar and live oak cover, and winding two-lane roads between the lake and RM 620. Cell service is reliable near The Hills and Lakeway, and grocery, fuel, and marine services are close at hand.
