Campgrounds and RV parks near Nellysford, VA

Nellysford sits in the Rockfish Valley in Nelson County, Virginia, on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains and along the Route 151 corridor known for breweries, cideries, and wineries. The village is a practical base for RV travelers exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway, Shenandoah National Park, and the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, and it sits within a reasonable drive of Charlottesville, Waynesboro, and Lynchburg. Camping options within a short drive range from full-hookup RV resorts to rustic wooded sites. Devils Backbone Camp is set on the grounds of the Devils Backbone Basecamp Brewpub just outside the village, while Misty Mountain Camp Resort and Crabtree Falls Campgrounds cover the wooded, mountain-stream side of the experience. Sun Retreats Shenandoah Valley and Waynesboro North 340 Campground sit farther north near I-64 and US-340, useful for travelers routing through the Shenandoah Valley. Elevation, mountain roads, and seasonal weather all shape trip planning, so most RV travelers build itineraries around Parkway access, brewery stops, and hiking trailheads.
