Campgrounds and RV parks near Keshena, WI

Keshena sits inside the Menominee Indian Reservation in northeastern Wisconsin, along the Wolf River roughly 40 miles northwest of Green Bay. The reservation covers about 235,000 acres of tribally managed forest, and the Wolf River runs through it as a federally designated Wild and Scenic River, drawing paddlers, anglers, and RV travelers. Most RV campgrounds near Keshena sit just outside the reservation boundary along or near Highway 55 and the Wolf River corridor, in Shawano and Langlade counties. Fawn Lake Campground, Captains Cove Resort and Country Club LLC, Annie's Campground, River Forest Wolf River Camping, and Mohican North Star RV Park are the closest options, offering a mix of lakefront, riverside, and full-hookup sites within a short drive of town. Expect a north-woods setting of mixed hardwood forest, small lakes, and trout streams. Keshena itself has fuel, groceries, the Menominee Casino Resort, and the Menominee Logging Camp Museum, making it a practical base for a Wolf River or Nicolet-area RV trip.

Private campgrounds around Keshena, including Fawn Lake Campground, Captains Cove Resort and Country Club LLC, Annie's Campground, River Forest Wolf River Camping, and Mohican North Star RV Park, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Riverside sites near Wolf River put-ins book earliest, often several months ahead for summer weekends. Rafting the Wolf River through the reservation requires a tribal permit; most visitors get one bundled with a guided outfitter trip, and private paddlers must obtain a permit through a licensed vendor before entering tribal waters. Nonmembers cannot hunt, fish, or trap on tribal land without a tribal permit. Holiday weekends, rafting events, and fall color weekends sell out first. Booking six to eight weeks ahead for peak summer is a safe target.
