Santos Trailhead Campground, part of the Cross Florida Greenway in Ocala, Florida, is a premier outdoor destination in central Florida renowned for its world-class mountain biking. With over 80 miles of single-track trails ranging from beginner to advanced, Santos is perennially ranked among the best mountain bike facilities in the country, including the exciting Vortex Freeride area set in a former limerock quarry. The campground offers 23 sites with water and electrical hookups (30 and 50 amp), a dump station, restrooms, showers, grills, picnic tables, and a convenient bike wash rack. Beyond mountain biking, the campground provides access to 60-plus miles of equestrian trails and connects to the Florida National Scenic Trail for hiking enthusiasts. The site is big-rig friendly and welcomes pets. Santos hosts the popular Santos Fat Tire Festival, drawing riders and major cycling brands from across the country. Located just south of Ocala off U.S. 441, the campground is close to local bike shops and the amenities of the Ocala metro area. Reservations can be made through the Florida State Parks reservation system.
