2016 Starcraft Travel Trailer
Great little trailer! Queen bed, Leather sofa drops down into a bed, dining table too. We brought our own mattress protectors as none of the beds have them. There are sheets. Communication was good! Delivery and pick up was smooth. There was only half of a roll of toilet paper so that left us a worried. Luckily friends who have a trailer had extra. There are 4 outdoor chairs. Just a heads up if you like comfy chairs, they are quite worn and one has a broken layer in the seat making it uncomfortable, cup holder in the one was broken so that made for a good laugh when a drink would go flying through. We didn’t spend any time in the trailer other than to sleep and make our morning coffee but oh worked and it was clean and enjoyable!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Taber, AB

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Taber, AB?

An RV rental in Taber is one of the better values in southern Alberta. Expect roughly $125 to $175 per night for travel trailers and tent trailers, $175 to $275 per night for Class C motorhomes, and $250 or more for larger Class A motorhomes, with many hosts offering 10 to 20 percent off weekly or monthly bookings. For a cheap RV rental Taber families love, book a travel trailer mid-week in May or September when summer demand has eased. Pro tip: stack a weekly discount with a host who offers local delivery to Taber Municipal Park to keep your total down. Use the price filter on RVezy to match a rig to your budget before you message a host.

What kind of driver's license do I need to rent an RV in Taber, Alberta?

For almost every RV rental in Taber, a regular Class 5 Alberta driver's license (or its equivalent from another Canadian province, U.S. state, or country) is all you need. A standard non-commercial license covers most motorhomes, travel trailers, and fifth wheels as long as the rig does not have air brakes, which is rare on rental units. To rent an RV in Taber on RVezy you must be an approved driver, generally 25 or older with a valid license, and identity verification is handled inside the platform. Visiting from overseas? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit and you are road-ready.

Is my Taber RV rental protected if something goes wrong?

Yes, every RV rental in Taber booked through RVezy comes with a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can focus on the Oldman River views instead of worst-case scenarios. The protection plan helps cover physical damage to the RV, and you choose the coverage level that fits your comfort during checkout. It is not traditional auto insurance, but it gives renters real financial peace of mind whether you are heading to Writing-on-Stone or just parking at Taber Municipal Park. Pro tip: review the coverage tiers before you book so you know exactly what is included on your trip.

What happens if I need to cancel my Taber RV trip?

You can book your RV rental in Taber with confidence because RVezy, not individual hosts, sets the cancellation policy for every reservation. There is a money-back grace period right after booking, and additional refund options apply depending on how far out from your trip you cancel. If a host cancels on you, RVezy helps with a refund or rebooking credit so you are not left scrambling. That flexibility matters around the Taber Cornfest long weekend in late August when plans can shift. Pro tip: book early to lock in popular rigs, knowing you have RVezy's policy as a safety net.

Yes, four-legged co-pilots are welcome on plenty of trips, and finding a pet-friendly RV rental in Taber is as easy as using the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy. Many hosts in the Taber and Lethbridge area accept dogs, sometimes for a small cleaning fee that is clearly listed before you book. Once you have your rig, Taber Municipal Park along the Oldman River has shaded riverside sites that dogs love, and Park Lake Provincial Park about 90 minutes west is another tail-wagger favourite where pets are welcome on leash. Pro tip: message the host through the listing to confirm any size or breed preferences, then pack a long leash for those wide-open prairie evenings.

Shoulder seasons in late May and September bring cooler nights, fewer mosquitoes along the Oldman River, and easier campsite availability. I have never driven an RV before. Will I be okay in Taber?

RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip, and your host is just a message away for quick questions about how the awning retracts or how to switch the fridge to propane. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number to your phone before you leave Taber and snap a photo of the RV's VIN and plate, then enjoy the open prairie worry-free.

Many Alberta hosts allow travel into the lower 48 states and across to British Columbia or Saskatchewan, but it depends on the specific listing and the host's insurance, so always confirm in writing through RVezy messaging before booking. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Popular routes include Taber to Glacier National Park, Montana (about 300 km), or east to Cypress Hills. How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Taber?

Booking ahead is the secret to a stress-free Taber RV trip, especially in peak summer. Alberta Parks campgrounds, including Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park, open reservations 90 days before arrival at reserve.albertaparks.ca, and the most scenic riverside sites can sell out within minutes for July and August weekends. Taber Municipal Park accepts online reservations and often keeps a small number of sites first-come-first-served. Private parks like Taber RV Park and Bridgeview RV Resort in Lethbridge usually have more flexibility but still fill on long weekends. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for 90 days before your trip and log in right at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Time to grab top sites.

What are driving conditions like around Taber for an RV?

Driving conditions in and around Taber are about as RV-friendly as it gets in Canada. The town sits on the wide-open prairie at 820 metres elevation, with Highway 3 (the Crowsnest Highway) running straight through and Highway 36 heading north-south, both with generous shoulders. Watch for two local quirks: strong crosswinds, especially on stretches between Taber and Lethbridge, and slow-moving farm equipment in late summer during the sugar-beet and corn harvest. Winter can bring black ice and blowing snow from November to March. Pro tip: check 511.alberta.ca for live road conditions before you roll, and on windy days drop your speed by 10 to 15 km/h to keep the RV tracking steady.
