Ian was absolutely fantastic to work with. He guided us through the ins and outs of his trailer and how to use it. We even called him on his weekend off and he was happy to help us. I couldn’t have asked for a better host than Ian if I was ever going to rent another trailer again, which I am hoping to do in the near future, I will definitely be calling In and asking him to rent his trailer again. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and we had everything we needed amazing amazing man and I couldn’t be happier Michelle Cross.

Thank you Terri!! We absolutely loved your RV and will definately be renting again next summer as we discussed. Our family, not all of whom are campers, had an amazing time at Charleston Lake. Your RV had everything we needed, and more. Having the conveniences of home away from home made this possible for us. Your RV truly is immaculate. We did alot of cooking and the fill size refrigerator, the mini fridge outside, stove, oven, and microwave were a blessing. My nephew and I enjoyed the large DVD selection ( even though we only watched Pirates of the Carribbean every single night) and shared in many a laughs. The big awning saved us from a few rain showers and allowed us to be outside as much as possible, which wasnt something I had even thought of at time of booking. It was my first experience with renting an RV so I brought alot of kitchen supplies and then realized it wasnt necessary as you had it fully stocked with everything we needed. Big big shout out to your husband!! The campsite and roads were quite saturated, but he came through. Thank you for setting everything up, explaining to us novices how things worked, and for traveling as far as you did to bring us the RV. We can't thank you enough. He literally did all the work!!! Anyone out there looking to rent this RV, stop reading comments and just book it. You will not be disappointed. It is extremely clean and comfortable, the interior design and decor is beautiful, it's spacious, and plenty of storage. Looking forward to seeing you next summer.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Brockville, ON
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Brockville?
Good news: an RV rental in Brockville is one of the most affordable ways to explore the 1000 Islands. On RVezy, travel trailers near Brockville typically average around $120 per night, while motorhomes and Class C rentals average about $200 per night, with many hosts offering 10 to 20 percent discounts on weekly bookings. For a cheap RV rental in Brockville, look at travel trailers if you already have a tow vehicle, or filter for shoulder-season dates in May or September. Pro tip: book midweek in June for the best combination of warm weather, open campsites, and lower nightly rates before the July peak hits.
brockvilletourism.com/places-to-stay/camping-rv-parks/What license do I need to rent an RV in Brockville, Ontario?
Good news: a regular Class G Ontario driver's licence (or an equivalent full licence from your home province, state, or country) is all you need to rent an RV in Brockville. No special RV endorsement, air brake ticket, or commercial licence is required for the motorhomes, campervans, and travel trailers listed on RVezy. Visiting from outside Canada? Bring your home licence, and an International Driving Permit if your licence is not in English or French. Approved drivers on RVezy are generally 25 or older, and ID verification happens right inside the booking flow, so you can confirm your trip in minutes and start planning your 1000 Islands adventure.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsIs insurance and roadside assistance included with my Brockville RV rental?
Yes, and this is one of the best parts of booking through RVezy. Every RV rental in Brockville booked through RVezy automatically includes a protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you are covered from the moment you pick up the keys until you hand them back. You can choose from different renter protection plan levels at checkout based on how much coverage and peace of mind you want. If you get a flat on the 1000 Islands Parkway or a dead battery at St. Lawrence Park, one call to RVezy support gets help dispatched. It is protection designed for real road trips, not fine print.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I need to cancel my Brockville RV trip?
Plans change, and RVezy makes booking your Brockville RV rental low risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), and it includes a full money-back grace period right after booking, so you can lock in your dates with confidence. After that grace window, your refund depends on how far out you are from your trip start date. You will see the exact terms during checkout before you pay. If a host ever cancels on you, RVezy provides a full refund or travel credit. Pro tip: book early to secure peak July weekends near the 1000 Islands, knowing you have that initial grace window to adjust if needed.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Brockville RV rental?
Absolutely, the 1000 Islands region is genuinely dog-friendly. On RVezy, just use the Pet-Friendly filter to find a pet-friendly RV rental in Brockville where furry passengers are welcome (many hosts allow dogs for a small cleaning fee). Once you arrive, take your pup along the 11 km of trails at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area just north of downtown, or walk the leashed sections of the Brock Trail along the St. Lawrence River. Thousand Islands National Park near Mallorytown also welcomes leashed pets on most land trails. Pro tip: pack a collapsible water bowl, summer humidity along the river can climb fast.
parks.canada.ca/pn-np/on/1000/visit/animaux-petsCan the RV be delivered to my campground in Brockville?
Yes, and it is one of the smartest ways to do an RV trip in Brockville, especially if you have never towed before. Many RVezy hosts offer RV delivery in Brockville straight to St. Lawrence Park, 1000 Islands/Mallorytown KOA, Charleston Lake Provincial Park, or even a private driveway. Your host will level the RV, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before leaving. Filter listings by Delivery and message the host with your destination address to confirm the fee, which is usually based on round-trip distance. It turns a first-time rental into a no-stress vacation, you literally show up and start enjoying the river.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106514-Delivery-and-setupHow do mileage policies work, and how far can I drive from Brockville?
You've got plenty of range. Each RVezy host sets their own mileage allowance, and many Brockville hosts offer generous daily kilometres or even an RV rental with unlimited mileage, perfect for an RV road trip from Brockville. From here you can reach Ottawa in about 1 hour 15 minutes (110 km), Kingston in under an hour (85 km), Montreal in about 2.5 hours (210 km), Algonquin Park in around 3.5 hours, and Toronto in roughly 4 hours (340 km). Pro tip: if you're planning a bigger loop through Quebec or the Adirondacks, filter for listings that explicitly say 'unlimited km' and you'll never watch the odometer.
ontario.ca/page/ontario-road-mapWhat are the best campgrounds near Brockville for RV camping?
You're spoiled for choice when it comes to RV camping in Brockville. Top picks include St. Lawrence Park Campground right in the city at 525 King Street with waterfront sites on the river; Pleasure Park RV Resort on Graham Lake just north of town, family-run since 1983 with full hookups and a beach; 1000 Islands/Mallorytown KOA Holiday about 20 minutes west, close to Thousand Islands National Park; Cardinal/Ottawa South KOA Holiday a half-hour east; and Grenville Park Camping near the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge. For something rustic, book a tent-or-small-RV site on one of the City of Brockville Islands, only accessible by boat. Reserve early, summer weekends fill fast.
brockvilletourism.com/places-to-stay/camping-rv-parks/When is the best time to visit Brockville in an RV?
The sweet spot for a Brockville RV trip is mid-June through mid-September, when daytime highs sit between 22 and 28 °C and the St. Lawrence River is warm enough for swimming and paddling. July and August are peak boating-and-cruise season, with the 1000 Islands & Seaway Cruises running multiple daily departures from Blockhouse Island. Want fewer crowds and better rates? Aim for the first three weeks of June or the first three weeks of September, when bugs ease up and fall colours start glowing along the Parkway. Local insider tip: late September weekends time perfectly with peak foliage along the 1000 Islands Parkway between Brockville and Gananoque.
climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_normals/results_1991_2020_e.html?searchType=stnName&txtStationName=brockvilleI've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving around Brockville?
You've got this, Brockville is genuinely one of the easiest places in Ontario for first time renting an RV. Highway 401 runs flat and straight along the city's north edge, the 1000 Islands Parkway is a calm two-lane road designed for slow scenic driving, and most campgrounds have pull-through sites so you barely need to back up. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, hookups, slide-outs, and the dump valves, and your booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance if anything feels off. Pro tip: do a short practice loop on County Road 2 along the waterfront before heading onto the 401, you'll feel confident in 15 minutes.
ontario.ca/page/driving-rv-or-trailerWhat happens if my RV breaks down during my Brockville trip?
You are never on your own. Every RVezy booking comes with 24/7 roadside assistance included through the renter protection plan, covering issues like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, towing, and mechanical breakdowns. One call gets help dispatched, whether you are on the 1000 Islands Parkway, parked at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area, or camping near Charleston Lake Provincial Park. Your host is also a quick message away through the RVezy app for questions like how to reset the inverter, and RVezy customer support backs you up before, during, and after the trip. Pro tip: snap photos of the breaker panel and propane shutoff during your walkthrough, it saves time if you ever need help diagnosing something.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Brockville RV rental across the border into the United States?
Often yes, and Brockville is perfectly positioned for it. You are just about 20 km from the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge into New York State, putting the Adirondacks, Lake Placid, and Vermont within easy reach. US travel is allowed on many RVezy rentals, but it depends on the individual host's approval and insurance, so message the host directly from the listing page before booking to confirm. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Bring your passport, the RVezy rental agreement, and the vehicle's insurance documents for Canada Border Services Agency and US Customs. Popular routes from Brockville include the Thousand Islands Bridge loop and a roughly 2-hour drive to Lake Placid.
cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/menu-eng.htmlHow much should I budget for fuel on a Brockville RV trip?
Easier than you might think. Class B campervans average roughly 18 to 22 L/100km, Class C motorhomes typically run 23 to 28 L/100km, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Gasoline in Brockville generally tracks the Ontario average and is sold at major stations along Stewart Boulevard and at the Highway 401 exits at North Augusta Road and Highway 29. A typical 5-day, 500 km loop through the 1000 Islands in a Class C will use roughly $180 to $230 CAD in fuel at current Ontario pump prices. Pro tip: top up in Brockville before crossing the bridge into New York, and use the Highway 401 ONroute service centre near Mallorytown for an easy big-rig pull-through.
ontario.ca/page/gas-pricesHow far in advance should I book a campground near Brockville?
Earlier than you think, but it is easy once you know where to look. For Ontario Parks like Charleston Lake Provincial Park (about 40 minutes north of Brockville), reservations open five months in advance through the Ontario Parks reservation system, and prime July and August weekends sell out within hours. Parks Canada Thousand Islands National Park bookings open in winter through the Parks Canada reservation service. Private parks like 1000 Islands/Mallorytown KOA typically begin taking reservations as soon as the prior season ends. Pro tip: book your campground first, then your RVezy rental, that way you can match the RV size to the site you secured.
reservations.ontarioparks.ca/What are the driving conditions like around Brockville?
Friendly and forgiving, which is great for an RV rental Ontario newcomer. Highway 401 is a straight, flat 6-lane corridor across the top of the city, the 1000 Islands Parkway south of the 401 is a slow, scenic 80 km/h drive with plenty of pull-offs, and downtown Brockville streets are quiet outside of summer festival weekends. Watch for low clearance at the historic Brockville Railway Tunnel area (don't try to drive an RV through the pedestrian tunnel itself), and slow down on County Road 29 north of town where deer crossings are common at dawn and dusk. Winter brings snow and ice from November to March, so most renters stick to May through October.
511on.ca/What hookups and dump stations can I expect at Brockville-area campgrounds?
You'll find everything you need close by. Most full-service campgrounds near Brockville, including Pleasure Park RV Resort, 1000 Islands/Mallorytown KOA, and Grenville Park, offer 30-amp electric, potable water, and sewer hookups at premium sites, plus on-site dump stations and laundry. St. Lawrence Park in Brockville has water and electric sites along the river with a central dump station. Thousand Islands National Park offers oTENTik sites and unserviced or electrical sites with a dump and fill station near the Mallorytown Landing visitor centre. Pro tip: top up fresh water before you leave the campground each morning, and dump on the way out rather than mid-stay so you're never racing the tank gauge.
parks.canada.ca/pn-np/on/1000/activ/campingWhat's actually inside the RVs listed for rent in Brockville?
More comfort than most first-timers expect. Motorhome rentals in Brockville on RVezy range from cozy Class B campervans (queen bed, kitchenette, wet bath, perfect for couples) up to Class C motorhomes and travel trailers that sleep 6 to 8 with a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), bathroom with shower, dinette, air conditioning, furnace, and often a TV. Many include a generator or solar setup for off-grid stays, plus seatbelts for every passenger in motorized units. Each listing shows photos, a full amenity list, and sleep count. Pro tip: filter by Sleeps 6+ and Generator if you are heading to Charleston Lake's unserviced sites, you will have power without hookups.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Brockville%2C%20OntarioWhat add-ons and extras can I get with my Brockville RV rental?
Hosts in Brockville love making your trip turnkey. Popular add-ons listed on RVezy include kitchen kits ($25 to $50), bedding and linen packages ($15 to $30 per person), camping chairs and outdoor tables, BBQs with propane, bike racks, kayak or SUP racks (huge for the St. Lawrence River), generators, and Starlink Wi-Fi on some listings. Pickup is usually at the host's address in or near Brockville, with most allowing flexible afternoon pickup and morning return windows. Delivery is offered by many hosts to local campgrounds for a per-kilometre fee. Pro tip: ask for the kayak rack add-on, paddling the calm channels around the City Islands at sunset is unforgettable.
brockville.com/things-to-do/How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
It is straightforward and secure. You pay directly through the RVezy platform with a credit card, never in cash to the host, which means your booking, protection plan, and roadside assistance are all locked in the moment you confirm. A separate refundable security deposit is held on your card (the host sets the amount based on the RV) and is released after the trip once the RV is returned in the same condition. To keep the deposit release smooth, do a video walkthrough with your host at pickup and drop-off, dump the tanks, refuel to the agreed level, and return on time. Simple steps, clean release, easy memories.
