Our family had a great experience. Mike and Crystal were helpful from initial booking to checkout. They responded to all our rookie rv camper questions promptly. The modern, luxurious fifth wheel camper exceeded our expectations. It really is fully equipped. Everything we needed and more. Would rent this camper again. Recommended. Thank you Crystal and Mike!

Having just departed from a weekend in Elisha and Toms trailer, our family of four had a great experience. Elisha was easy to communicate with and quick in responses. The trailer had plenty of sleeping space and was well equipped for anything we might have needed. The trailer was delivered and picked up when we required. The trailer is "well loved" so don't expect it to be in brand new condition. But it was perfect for our needs and we will rent again.

Lisa and Manny were amazing to deal with . They responded quickly and were very helpful in answering any questions we had. The trailer was exactly what we needed to make our camping weekend an enjoyable one !!!!

Lisa and Manny are wonderful hosts, explain everything in detail. Trailer tows beautifully. I had no issues with the trailer at all. I would suggest bringing a mattress topper because the Murphy bed mattress is not as thick as a regular mattress.

Renting the trailer from Shannon was a breeze. It was delivered on time and clean. Our family had a great time in it. Just enough space for everyone. Shannon was also very responsive to my messages. No issues with communication. We'll definitely try to rent from her again if we're out this way in the future!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Greater Napanee, ON
How much does an RV rental in Greater Napanee, ON typically cost?
RV rental in Greater Napanee is one of the more affordable ways to explore eastern Ontario, with peer-to-peer pricing from local hosts that beats most traditional rental fleets. On RVezy, expect roughly $120 to $180 per night for travel trailers and $180 to $250 per night for Class C motorhomes, with many owners offering 10 to 20 percent discounts on weekly bookings. For a cheap RV rental in Greater Napanee, search mid-week dates in May, June or September when summer crowds at Sandbanks have thinned. Pro tip: filter by Instant Book and message the host about any unused weekday gaps. Many hosts in Lennox and Addington County drop their nightly rate to keep the calendar full.
destinationontario.com/en-ca/articles/rving-ontario-for-beginnersWhat kind of driver's licence do I need to rent an RV in Greater Napanee?
Good news: a standard Ontario Class G licence is all you need to rent an RV in Greater Napanee for virtually any motorhome, campervan or travel trailer on RVezy. Ontario rules allow Class G drivers to operate motor homes up to 11,000 kg, which covers Class B, Class C and most Class A rentals on the platform. To be an approved driver on RVezy you generally need to be 25 or older with a valid licence, and RVezy verifies your ID inside your booking. Visiting from outside Canada? Bring your home licence plus an International Driving Permit if it is not in English or French. No special RV endorsement or test is required.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat protection is included when I book an RV rental in Greater Napanee?
Every RV rental in Greater Napanee booked through RVezy comes with a built-in renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you are covered from the moment you pull out of the host's driveway. You choose your protection level during checkout (not the host), picking the tier that fits your comfort and budget, and it helps cover damage to the RV during your trip. Whether you are cruising the 401 toward Kingston or backing into a site at Sandbanks Provincial Park, you have real financial peace of mind. Pro tip: review the protection options carefully before you confirm your booking, especially if it is your first time renting an RV.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I need to cancel my Greater Napanee RV rental?
Booking your Napanee RV trip is low-risk thanks to RVezy's cancellation policy, which is set by RVezy (not individual hosts) and includes a grace period right after you book during which you can cancel for a full refund. The refund you receive after the grace period depends on how far out from your trip start date you cancel. If a host needs to cancel, RVezy refunds the guest or provides travel credits. That means you can lock in your dates for Napanee Beer Company patio season or Sandbanks beach weekends with confidence. Pro tip: book early to secure your dates, then finalize plans like campground reservations once your RV is confirmed.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Greater Napanee RV trip?
Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental in Greater Napanee is easy to find on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you'll see plenty of hosts in Napanee, Bath and nearby Kingston who happily welcome dogs. Once you're on the road, your pup will love the trails along the Napanee River Boardwalk and Springside Park Falls, plus Sandbanks Provincial Park (about 50 minutes south) has designated pet-friendly beach areas. Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park is another tail-wagger, with shaded picnic areas just 35 minutes away. Pro tip: message the host before booking to mention your dog's size and breed, and ask about any pet cleaning fee, then bring a tie-out and water bowl for campsite comfort.
ontarioparks.ca/park/sandbanksCan the RV be delivered to my campsite in Greater Napanee?
Yes, RV delivery in Greater Napanee is offered by many hosts and it's hands-down the easiest way to start a trip if you're nervous about driving a big rig. Your host will tow or drive the RV to your campsite at places like Sun Retreats Hay Bay, Sandbanks Provincial Park or a cottage rental near Bath, level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through everything from the propane to the awning. Just use the Delivery filter on RVezy and enter your destination address to see hosts who serve it. Pro tip: delivery is a game changer for first time renting an RV; you skip city driving entirely and arrive to a fully set-up basecamp.
greaternapanee.com/live/discover-greater-napanee/How far can I drive on a Greater Napanee RV trip and is unlimited mileage available?
Greater Napanee sits at the perfect crossroads of eastern Ontario, so a little mileage goes a long way. Kingston is just 40 km east, Sandbanks Provincial Park is about 60 km southwest through Prince Edward County wine country, Ottawa is roughly 200 km northeast, and Toronto is about 260 km west on the 401. Many hosts offer generous daily mileage allowances, and you'll find listings with RV rental with unlimited mileage right in the filters. Pro tip: if you're planning a longer Napanee RV trip up to Algonquin Provincial Park (about 280 km north), filter for unlimited mileage or ask your host about a flat add-on rate to keep your budget predictable.
ontario.ca/page/driving-and-roadsWhat are the best campgrounds near Greater Napanee for an RV trip?
You are spoiled for choice with great campgrounds near Greater Napanee. Sun Retreats Hay Bay on County Road 9 is the closest full-service park with a pool, boat docks and walleye fishing right out front. Sandbanks Provincial Park (about 50 minutes southwest) offers Outlet River, Richardson and Cedars campgrounds with electrical sites that book out fast. Lake on the Mountain Provincial Park has stunning Bay of Quinte views just 35 minutes away, and Sherwood Park RV Resort along the St. Lawrence rounds out the list. Pro tip: reserve through the Ontario Parks reservation system exactly five months in advance at 7:00 a.m. to land the prime sites.
ontarioparks.ca/park/sandbanksWhen is the best time of year for RV camping in Greater Napanee?
The sweet spot for RV camping in Greater Napanee runs from late May through early October, when daytime highs sit between 20 and 28 C and the Bay of Quinte is warm enough for swimming. July and August are peak summer with the most events, festivals and farmer's market action downtown, while September brings crisp nights, fewer bugs and stunning fall colour along the Loyalist Parkway. Winters here are genuinely cold (often -10 to -20 C with lake-effect snow), so most private campgrounds close by mid-October. Pro tip: book a shoulder-season trip in late September for cheaper rates, harvest visits to 33 Vines Winery, and waterfalls roaring at Springside Park.
climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_normals/results_1991_2020_e.htmlI've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay renting in Greater Napanee?
You'll do great, and Greater Napanee is actually one of the friendlier spots in Ontario to learn. Roads are wide, traffic is light outside of Highway 401, and rural county roads like the Loyalist Parkway are made for relaxed cruising. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup covering driving, hookups, the awning, propane and the dump valve, and you've got 24/7 roadside assistance in your back pocket. First time renting an RV? Choose a Class B campervan or smaller Class C, or have the RV delivered to your campsite so you skip driving entirely. Pro tip: practice a few right turns and back-ins in the empty lot at the Strathcona Paper Centre before heading out.
ontario.ca/page/driving-recreational-vehicle-rvWhat happens if something goes wrong on the road near Greater Napanee?
You are never on your own. Every RV rental in Greater Napanee booked on RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so a flat tire on the 401 near Kingston, a dead battery at Sun Retreats Hay Bay, or a tow from rural Lennox and Addington County is one phone call away. RVezy customer support is reachable before, during and after your trip, and your host's number is right in the app for any RV-specific questions like resetting the inverter. Pro tip: save the RVezy support number and your host's contact in your phone before you leave the driveway, and snap a photo of the RV's VIN sticker for faster service calls.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Greater Napanee RV rental into the United States?
Cross-border trips from Greater Napanee to the US (Watertown, the Adirondacks or down to Lake George) are often possible on RVezy rentals, but it depends on the host and the insurance coverage in place, so confirm with the host before booking. The nearest border crossings are the Thousand Islands Bridge (about 75 km east via Highway 401) and the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge (about 130 km east). Travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because insurance coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: message the listing directly, mention your route and dates, and ask the host to confirm US travel before you book your cross-border RV road trip from Greater Napanee.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat about fuel costs and gas mileage for a Greater Napanee RV trip?
Budgeting fuel for your motorhome rental in Greater Napanee is straightforward once you know the numbers. Class C motorhomes average roughly 18 to 25 L per 100 km, Class B campervans 12 to 16 L per 100 km, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Ontario gas prices in the Napanee area generally hover around $1.45 to $1.70 per litre, with the cheapest fuel usually at stations in Kingston or off the 401 in Belleville. A weekend round trip to Sandbanks and back typically runs $50 to $80 in fuel for a Class B or small Class C. Pro tip: fill up in Belleville or Kingston rather than smaller villages along Highway 41 where rural prices run higher.
ontario.ca/page/gasoline-pricesHow far in advance should I book a campground near Greater Napanee?
For the best campgrounds near Greater Napanee, book as early as you can, because Ontario Parks opens reservations exactly five months ahead at 7:00 a.m. eastern. That window matters most for Sandbanks Provincial Park, where summer weekends sell out within minutes of the reservation window opening. Private parks like Sun Retreats Hay Bay and Sherwood Park RV Resort fill up by spring for July and August dates. For shoulder season (May, June, September) you can often book just a couple of weeks out. Pro tip: use the Ontario Parks Flexible Dates feature to scan a whole month for open electrical RV sites, and set a cancellation alert for sold-out weekends, many open up last minute.
ontarioparks.ca/reservationsWhat are driving conditions like around Greater Napanee?
Driving an RV around Greater Napanee is refreshingly low-stress. Highway 401 runs right along the north edge of town with wide shoulders and easy on-ramps at Exits 579 and 582, and County Roads 8, 9 and 41 are paved, gently rolling and rarely congested. Watch for the swing bridge at the bottom of Napanee River and the historic stone bridge in the downtown core (height clearance is fine for standard RVs, but slow down). Winter brings serious lake-effect snow and ice, so most renters stick to May through October. Pro tip: avoid the 401 between Toronto and Napanee on Friday afternoons in summer; leave Thursday evening or Saturday morning for a smoother drive.
511on.ca/What amenities can I expect at campgrounds around Greater Napanee?
Campgrounds near Greater Napanee range from full-service resorts to rustic provincial sites, so there's a fit for every comfort level. Sun Retreats Hay Bay, Sherwood Park RV Resort and Sandbanks Trailer Park offer 30/50 amp electrical, water, sewer hookups, hot showers, laundry, pools and Wi-Fi. Ontario Parks sites at Sandbanks and Lake on the Mountain typically provide electrical service, vault or flush toilets, potable water taps and a centralized dump station. Need to dump tanks mid-trip? The municipal dump station at the Napanee Lions Hall and Sun Retreats Hay Bay both serve non-registered campers for a small fee. Pro tip: fill your fresh water tank before leaving town since rural fill stations can be limited.
ontarioparks.ca/rvWhat's actually inside the RVs available for rent in Greater Napanee?
Most RVs you'll find for RV rental Ontario through RVezy come fully equipped and trip-ready. Expect a queen or king bed, a kitchen with a propane stove, fridge, microwave and sink, an indoor bathroom with toilet and shower, a dinette that often converts to an extra bed, plus a roof AC and furnace. Class C motorhomes typically sleep 4 to 6 with seatbelts for everyone, and many have a TV, Bluetooth stereo and a generator or solar setup. Wi-Fi varies, but most Napanee-area listings include kitchen basics, linens and outdoor chairs. Pro tip: check the listing's amenities tab carefully and message the host about any must-haves like a coffee maker, BBQ, bike rack or kid-size life jackets for Hay Bay swims.
tc.gc.ca/en/services/road/safety-standards-vehicles-tires-child-car-seats.htmlWhat add-ons and pickup options should I expect when I rent an RV in Greater Napanee?
When you rent an RV in Greater Napanee on RVezy, hosts offer a friendly menu of add-ons that make your trip easier. Common extras include bed and bath linen kits ($30 to $75), kitchen packages, generator use, bike racks, paddleboards, camping chairs, BBQs and even pre-stocked propane tanks. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Napanee, Bath, Deseronto or Kingston, and many hosts offer delivery to local campgrounds for a per-kilometre fee. Mileage policies vary, with daily allowances commonly between 100 and 200 km and unlimited options available. Pro tip: bundle linens and a propane fill at pickup so you can drive straight to Sandbanks beach without a Walmart stop in between.
greaternapanee.com/live/discover-greater-napanee/How do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment for your Greater Napanee RV rental is handled securely inside RVezy; you will not exchange cash or e-transfers with the host. You pay the rental total online when you book, and a refundable security deposit is held separately from the booking payment, commonly $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV. As long as you return the RV in the agreed condition, with the agreed fuel level and within the mileage allowance, the deposit is released back to you after the trip ends. Pro tip: take date-stamped photos and a short video of the RV at pickup and drop-off; it makes the deposit return seamless and gives you total peace of mind.
