Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Miami Springs?

A regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Miami Springs, Florida. No commercial driver's license (CDL) or special RV endorsement is required for the motorhomes, campervans, or travel trailers listed on RVezy, including larger Class A models. Approved drivers are generally required to be 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your ID inside the platform during booking, so there's no in-person paperwork at pickup. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring your home country's license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto association. With that in hand, you're cleared to cruise from Miami Springs to South Beach, the Everglades, or the Florida Keys.

Is RV rental in Miami Springs protected if something goes wrong?

Yes, every RV rental in Miami Springs booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit I-95 or the Florida Turnpike with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers most accidental damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose the coverage level that fits your comfort during checkout (not the host). It isn't traditional auto insurance, but it shields you from the bulk of out-of-pocket repair costs if something unexpected happens. For your Miami Springs RV trip, that means fewer worries about a flat tire near the Everglades or a fender bender in tight downtown Miami traffic.

What happens if I need to cancel my Miami Springs RV booking?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy sets the cancellation policy for every reservation (not individual hosts), and it includes a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in your dates with confidence. The exact refund amount depends on how far in advance you cancel relative to your trip start date. Since Miami Springs sits in the Atlantic hurricane zone from June 1 through November 30, reach out to RVezy support early if a named storm threatens your dates. Pro tip: book early to secure the best Miami Springs RV inventory, then review the cancellation details on your confirmation. If plans shift, contact RVezy support before your trip start date.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Miami Springs?

Yes, pet-friendly RV rental Miami Springs options are easy to find on RVezy. Toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on the search page and you'll see motorhomes and travel trailers whose hosts welcome dogs (and sometimes cats). Once you've picked a listing, message the host about your pup's size and breed so check-in is smooth. Miami Springs is a great launchpad for dog owners, with several local parks and Miami-Dade off-leash areas nearby. Note that pets are restricted in most of Everglades National Park's natural areas and trails, but they are allowed in campgrounds, parking lots, and on roads open to public vehicle traffic when leashed.

Can the RV be delivered to my hotel, campground, or driveway in Miami Springs?

Yes, RV delivery Miami Springs is one of the most popular options on RVezy, and it's a game-changer if you're flying into Miami International Airport (just south of Miami Springs) or staying at a local hotel. Filter listings by Delivery and you'll see hosts who will drive the motorhome or travel trailer straight to your address or a nearby campground such as Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park. Most hosts charge a per-mile delivery fee plus a flat setup fee, and they'll level the rig, connect hookups, and walk you through every system. It's the easiest way to start a Miami Springs RV trip without ever sitting behind a steering wheel.

How many miles do I get with my Miami Springs RV rental?

Most hosts in Miami Springs include a generous daily mileage allowance, typically 100 to 150 free miles per day, with extra miles available at $0.30 to $0.50 each. Some hosts even offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, which is ideal if you're planning a big loop. From Miami Springs: Key Largo is about 65 miles south, Key West is roughly 160 miles, Everglades National Park's main entrance near Homestead is about 50 miles southwest, Naples is around 110 miles west across Alligator Alley, and Orlando is roughly 235 miles north. Pro tip: map your route before booking and use RVezy's filters to find a listing whose mileage policy matches your plan, so there are no surprises at drop-off.

Where can I camp with my RV near Miami Springs?

You've got fantastic options for RV camping Miami Springs travelers love, all within an easy drive. Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park and Campground in southwest Miami-Dade offers full-hookup sites, a freshwater lake, and a swimming pool. Miami Everglades RV Resort in Homestead (about 30 miles south) has paved pads, Wi-Fi, and easy Everglades access. Boardwalk RV Resort in Homestead is another full-hookup favorite. For a more rustic vibe, Long Pine Key Campground inside Everglades National Park sits among slash pines roughly 55 miles away. Pro tip: these are some of the best campgrounds near Miami Springs in winter, so reserve 3 to 6 months ahead for December through March.

When is the best time to take an RV trip from Miami Springs?

The sweet spot for a Miami Springs RV trip is mid-November through April, when South Florida slips into its dry season. Daytime highs sit comfortably in the mid-70s to low-80s Fahrenheit, humidity drops, and afternoon thunderstorms practically disappear, which makes campground evenings outside the RV genuinely pleasant. December through March is peak snowbird season, so book early. March and April are arguably the perfect window: warm enough for the Keys and Miami Beach, dry enough for the Everglades, and just before mosquito season ramps up. Summer (June to September) brings 90F heat, high humidity, daily storms, and Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 through November 30, but you'll find lower nightly rates and quieter campgrounds if you're flexible.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving in Miami?

You've got this, and you won't be doing it alone. Every Miami Springs host gives you a full pickup walkthrough covering driving, leveling, hookups, propane, and the generator, and most are happy to answer texts mid-trip. If you're first time renting an RV and nervous about Miami's busy expressways, consider a Class B campervan or smaller Class C, which drive much like a large van. Even better, book delivery so the RV is already parked at your campground when you arrive. Avoid downtown Miami, low clearances on the causeways heading to South Beach, and rush hour on I-95 and the Palmetto. Instead, point west toward the Everglades or south on US-1 toward the Keys, both very RV-friendly.

What happens if my RV breaks down during my Miami Springs trip?

Take a deep breath: 24/7 roadside assistance is included with every RVezy booking, so help is one phone call away whether you're on the Florida Turnpike, near Mile Marker 50 in the Keys, or on a back road near the Everglades. The roadside team can dispatch tire service, jump-starts, fuel delivery, lockout help, and towing to the nearest qualified shop. Your host is also a direct resource through RVezy in-app messaging for quick questions like resetting the fridge or relighting the water heater. Pro tip: before pulling away from your Miami Springs pickup, save the roadside number in your phone and snap a photo of the RV's VIN and license plate, which makes any call faster.

Can I take my Miami Springs RV rental across state lines or to Mexico?

Yes, you can absolutely turn your Miami Springs RV rental into a multi-state RV road trip from Miami Springs. Most hosts allow travel throughout the continental U.S., so the Florida Panhandle, Georgia's coast, the Carolinas, and even a New Orleans run are all fair game. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because the protection plan doesn't extend across that border. Always confirm out-of-state plans with your host through RVezy messages before booking. Popular nearby routes include Miami Springs to St. Augustine (about 335 miles), to Savannah, GA (about 470 miles), and the classic Overseas Highway to Key West.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validity

How much should I budget for fuel on a Miami Springs RV trip?

Fuel is one of the easier line items to plan once you know the numbers. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 MPG, and Class A coaches typically deliver 6 to 10 MPG. Miami-area gas prices usually track near the Florida statewide average, and diesel is typically a bit higher. For a sample 500-mile loop from Miami Springs to Key West and back in a Class C, plan on roughly 50 gallons of gas. Pro tip: warehouse clubs like Costco and Sam's Club around Miami-Dade often have lower fuel prices, and apps like GasBuddy show real-time prices along US-1 to the Keys.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Miami Springs?

For peak season (December through April), reserve campsites 4 to 6 months ahead, and as much as 11 months for Florida State Parks, which open reservations on a rolling 11-month window through the Florida State Parks reservation system. Everglades National Park's Long Pine Key and Flamingo campgrounds book through Recreation.gov, typically on a 6-month window. Larry and Penny Thompson is run by Miami-Dade County Parks and accepts online reservations directly. Private parks like Miami Everglades RV Resort and Boardwalk RV Resort take bookings on their own websites. Pro tip: if you're set on a holiday week or a major Miami event, set a calendar reminder for the exact day reservations open. Sites near Miami Springs can disappear within hours during winter.

What are the local driving conditions like around Miami Springs?

Miami Springs itself is refreshingly easy to drive: it's a quiet, tree-lined residential community right next to Miami International Airport, with low-traffic streets perfect for getting comfortable in your rig. The challenge is the surrounding metro. Avoid I-95, the Dolphin Expressway (SR 836), and the Palmetto (SR 826) during the 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. rush. Watch for low clearances on the MacArthur and Venetian Causeways to Miami Beach. Heading south on the Florida Turnpike or US-1 to the Keys is smooth and scenic. Summer brings sudden heavy rainstorms, so pull over when visibility drops. Local insider tip: leave Miami Springs before sunrise to beat traffic out to the Everglades or Keys.

What hookups and amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Miami Springs?

Most campgrounds near Miami Springs offer full hookups, meaning 30 or 50 amp electric, fresh water, and sewer right at your site, which is exactly what you want in Florida's heat to keep the air conditioning running. Larry and Penny Thompson and the Homestead-area private resorts (such as Miami Everglades and Boardwalk) typically include dump stations, potable water fills, laundry, Wi-Fi, and pools. Long Pine Key inside Everglades National Park is more rustic with no hookups but has a nearby dump station and water fill. Pro tip: top off fresh water and dump tanks before heading into the Keys, where space is tight and overnight rates jump. Many Flying J and Pilot truck stops along the Turnpike also offer dump stations for a small fee.
nps.gov/ever/planyourvisit/longpinekey.htm

What's inside a typical RV rental in Miami Springs?

Miami Springs RVs are well-equipped for South Florida trips. A typical Class C motorhome rental sleeps 4 to 6 with a queen bed, dinette and sofa conversions, and an over-cab bunk. Expect a full kitchen with fridge and freezer, three-burner stove, microwave, sink, and a stocked cookware kit; a wet or dry bathroom with toilet and shower; roof-mounted air conditioning (essential for South Florida); a propane furnace; and seatbelts for every traveling passenger. Many listings also include a generator for off-grid power, an outdoor awning, an exterior speaker, and a TV. Campervan rental Miami Springs options are more compact but cover the basics nicely. Pro tip: filter by Wi-Fi or generator if those matter, and check each listing's photos for layout, since hosts describe included gear in detail.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Miami%20Springs%2C%20Florida

What add-ons and pickup options are available for a motorhome rental Miami Springs?

Miami Springs hosts often make your motorhome rental Miami Springs trip turnkey. Common add-ons include bedding and linen packages ($30 to $75), kitchen kits ($25 to $50), camp chairs and outdoor mats, portable grills, generators (sometimes included, sometimes $10 to $25 per night), bike racks, paddleboards, and beach gear, which is especially popular this close to Miami Beach and Key Biscayne. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Miami Springs or a nearby neighborhood, but delivery to MIA-area hotels, campgrounds, or your driveway is widely offered for a per-mile fee. Pro tip: ask about a generator add-on if you're heading to Long Pine Key or anywhere without hookups, because Florida nights without AC are no joke.

How do payment and the security deposit work when I rent an RV in Miami Springs?

Payment is simple and secure: when you book on RVezy, you pay through the platform with a credit or debit card (never directly to the host), and your booking total is split into a deposit at booking and a balance paid before your trip start. A refundable security deposit is also placed on hold against your card a few days before pickup, separate from the booking payment. The amount varies by RV and host, and it's released after the host confirms the RV came back clean, fueled, and damage-free. Pro tip: do a quick walkaround video at pickup and drop-off in Miami Springs and share it through RVezy messaging. It's the easiest way to keep your deposit refund moving fast.

What's a great first road trip from Miami Springs for families?

For a family RV trip Miami Springs first-timers will never forget, point south on US-1 toward the Florida Keys. Day one, drive about 65 miles to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo for snorkeling and a glass-bottom boat tour. Day two, continue roughly 50 miles to Bahia Honda State Park near Big Pine Key, home to one of Florida's most beautiful beaches and family-friendly campsites. Day three, push another 40 miles to Key West for sunset at Mallory Square. Total round-trip from Miami Springs is around 320 miles, easy on most mileage caps. Local insider tip: stop at Robbie's of Islamorada to hand-feed the tarpon, a Keys rite of passage the kids will talk about for years.
