Alex was a wonderful host. His location is close to Miami airport which was very convenient. He was available and flexible with our pick up and drop off times. He was available immediately by phone throughout our trip to answer any questions that came up. His RV was exactly as pictured in the photos. It was spotless and everything worked. This was our first time in an RV and it was a great experience. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids (ages 8, 13 and 16) and it was a perfect fit for us. Lots of storage! We would be happy to rent from Alex again in the future.

Carlos went out of his way to make everything work. It was an especially crowded weekend in Miami with a lot of traffic, and Carlos delivered the RV like a professional. The RV itself, is extremely accommodating. Our favorite part where the wonderful meals we had. My family really enjoyed it. Everything was as described or better. It came with bedding, and everything you need for a wonderful experience. Everything was perfectly clean, and smelled good, etc. Don't take that for granted, sometimes RVs have a little smell to them. Carlos keeps this one smelling fantastic. It was clean, it was nice, and I would highly recommend.

Alexander and his trailer should be the poster child of what one should expect on RVEzy. I needed a trailer on super short notice and he arranged to have his trailer cleaned and turned around in less than 4 hours! It was super clean, worked perfectly, cold ac, fridge, clean sheets and towels and absolutely beautiful and spacious!! He was very communicative and he is a solid and trustworthy person, tough to find in Miami. From personal experience renting in Miami elsewhere, go with Alexander, you won’t regret it! I will definitely use him again in the future.

Let your host handle setup at spots like Oleta River State Park or Miami Everglades RV Resort, you show up and enjoy.

Are there mileage limits for RV rentals in Miami? How far can I travel?

Most RV rentals in Miami include a set number of free miles per day, and you’ll find options with unlimited mileage if you want to explore without limits. Planning a Miami RV road trip to the Keys (about 160 miles to Key West), Orlando (235 miles), or the Everglades (around 60 miles)? Just check mileage terms in the listing, and message your host if you’re planning a longer route. Road tripping across Florida is surprisingly doable from Miami, the open road is yours.

Where can you park an RV or camp around Miami? Any recommended campgrounds?

You’ve got great campground choices when RV camping in Miami. Try Miami Everglades RV Resort for lush sites with lots of amenities, or book Flamingo Campground in Everglades National Park for wild scenery and starry nights. Other top picks: Larry & Penny Thompson Memorial Park (close to the Zoo), and Oleta River State Park for waterfront views. For city stays, locations like Hollywood KOA put you near beaches and nightlife. Book early, especially November–April.

When’s the best time for an RV trip to Miami? What’s the weather like?

Miami’s prime RV travel season is November through April, when temperatures are comfortable (65–80°F) and humidity is lower. Summer brings tropical heat (mid-80s to low 90s °F), frequent rain, and hurricane season (June–November), but you’ll find great deals and fewer crowds. RV camping in Miami is possible year-round, but booking ahead for winter is smart. Keep an eye on the forecast in late summer, and always have a backup plan for severe weather. Locals love the breezy evenings on Biscayne Bay after a sunny day.

Is Miami a good place for first-time RV renters or families?

Miami is a fantastic starting point for your first RV rental, especially for families. Most RVezy hosts offer a complete walk-through at pickup, so you’ll know exactly how everything works. The city’s major campgrounds have full hookups and easy access, making setup and driving a breeze. Nervous about traffic or tight turns? Many hosts offer delivery and setup, so you can start your Miami family RV trip stress-free. Kids love Monkey Jungle and Jungle Island, make them a stop on your adventure.

What if I have RV trouble on the road around Miami?

No need to stress, every RV rental in Miami includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of your protection package. Whether you have a flat tire en route to the Florida Keys or need a jumpstart at your campground, help is just a call away. This service covers the greater Miami area and Florida highways, so you’re never on your own. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number in your phone before heading out!

Can I take my RV rental from Miami to other states or on an international trip?

You’re free to drive your Miami RV rental across most US states, including popular routes to Orlando (235 miles), Tampa (280 miles), or the Florida Keys (160 miles to Key West). Traveling to Canada is possible with certain rentals, just ask your host before booking. Driving into Mexico is not permitted. Always double-check your protection coverage before a cross-border or multi-state trip. The classic Miami-to-Key-West road trip is a scenic drive packed with adventure stops.

What should I budget for fuel during my Miami RV adventure?

Budgeting for fuel is easy: most motorhomes in Miami average 7–12 miles per gallon, while campervan rentals are a bit more efficient. Gas prices in Miami typically range from $3.20 to $3.90 per gallon, check current rates locally. If you’re planning a big Miami RV road trip, factor in your route’s total mileage, and use a map app to estimate total gas costs. Sticking to state highways and avoiding peak traffic helps save both time and fuel. Insider tip: fill up just outside the city for better prices.

How far in advance should I book a Miami RV campground, and what system should I use?

To snag the best campgrounds near Miami during peak season (November–April), book 3–6 months ahead, especially for state parks like Oleta River or popular sites in the Keys. Use Florida State Parks’ ReserveAmerica or National Park Service websites for reservations. Private campgrounds like Miami Everglades also take direct bookings. For spontaneous trips, some parks offer first-come, first-served spots, but these go fast. Early birds get the beachside views!

What should I know about driving an RV in Miami’s traffic and city roads?

RV driving in Miami is totally possible, just plan around rush hour when I-95 and US-1 get busy (7–9am and 4–7pm). Most Miami streets are flat and wide, but watch for low bridges and heavy traffic downtown or near South Beach. If you’re nervous about urban driving, pick RV delivery or start your trip outside the downtown core. Once you’re out of the city, Florida’s highways are smooth sailing all the way to the Everglades or the Keys. Pro tip: avoid cruising Ocean Drive in a big rig!

What campground amenities are typical near Miami, and where can I empty waste tanks?

Miami RV campgrounds offer lots of comforts: expect full hookups (electric, water, sewer), WiFi, picnic tables, and clean bathhouses at resorts like Miami Everglades and Larry & Penny Thompson. Most sites also have dump stations for waste tank emptying and fresh water fill-ups. Public parks (like Oleta River State Park) have designated dump areas. Always confirm amenities in your booking. For hassle-free waste disposal, many campgrounds have easy drive-through dump stations near the exit.

What features can I expect in a Miami RV rental? Do they include kitchens and bathrooms?

Most Miami RV rentals come fully loaded for comfort, expect beds with memory-foam mattresses, full kitchens with fridges and microwaves, bathrooms with hot showers, and often AC, TV, and built-in WiFi hotspots. Many Class C and A motorhomes have generators for extra power at the beach or Everglades, plus seatbelts for all passengers. Filter by amenities to match your travel style, and check listings for extras like bike racks and outdoor grills. It’s easy to make your Miami RV your own beach house on wheels.

What’s included with my Miami RV rental, and what add-ons can I choose?

You decide what your RV rental includes: Miami hosts offer packages that cover basic kitchenware, fresh linens, cleaning supplies, and more. Add-ons might include beach-ready grills, outdoor chairs, Florida toll passes, or even paddleboards for Biscayne Bay. Select add-ons before you book, all details and extra fees are clearly listed, and you’ll be able to see pick-up or drop-off logistics at checkout. It’s easy to customize your Miami motorhome rental for an epic South Florida adventure.

How does payment and the security deposit work for RV rentals in Miami?

Booking your Miami RV is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy's platform when you reserve. If the host has set a security deposit, RVezy places a temporary authorization on your payment method three days before your trip (the amount is listed on the listing). No money is transferred; the hold is released 7 days after your trip ends, as long as no claim is submitted. Inspect the RV with your host before and after your travels to avoid surprises. Travel with care and follow the use guidelines for a smooth experience.
