I would to thank Carlos Acuna and his wife the the excellent rental RV they provided for me at the EAA Sun-n-Fun event in Lakeland, Florida recently. They provided a beautiful and extremely clean RV for us. They accomplished a complete setup and gave me a very good briefing on the operational aspects of the RV. The personal touches such as the personalized Welcome sign, snacks, coffee, and other items were greatly appreciated. I will definitely attempt to rent from them again in the future.

Great Experience! I Highly recommend! All you need to do is bring yourself, your clothes, and some food. Just about everything else is provided. They have a weight distribution hitch (which saved me a lot of money). They even had the cable to hook up my generator. Their A/C blew ice cold air, the refrigerator kept everything cold and the freezer worked perfectly. If you can get fresh water, you leave and have hot showers! All you have to do is back up your vehicle, hitch it up and go have fun. The owners are Very helpful and communicate very quickly to help with any questions you have. I would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend them. Thank you so much for a great experience.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Bloomingdale?

For peak winter season (December to April) at Florida State Parks like Hillsborough River State Park, book the moment your reservation window opens. Florida residents can reserve up to 11 months in advance and non-residents 10 months in advance through the Florida State Parks reservation system. Private RV resorts like Tampa East and Winterset typically need 2 to 3 months notice for winter weekends. Pro tip: weekday arrivals are far easier to score than Friday check-ins year-round.

What are the driving conditions like around Bloomingdale and the Tampa Bay area?

Driving an RV around Bloomingdale is refreshingly easy, the terrain is flat and the main routes (US 301, SR 60, Bloomingdale Avenue, I-75) are well-marked and wide. The two things to plan around are summer afternoon thunderstorms (usually 2 to 5 pm, just pull off and wait 20 minutes) and rush hour on I-75 and the Selmon Expressway between 7 to 9 am and 4 to 6:30 pm. Avoid taking tall Class A rigs over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in high crosswinds, check FL511 before crossing. Pro tip: use surface routes through Brandon to skip I-75 backups, locals swear by them.

Local campgrounds are well set up for everything from a campervan to a 40-foot Class A. Lithia Springs Conservation Park has 30 and 50 amp electric, water, a dump station, hot showers, and a swimmable natural spring. What add-ons and pickup options are available for a motorhome rental Bloomingdale travelers should know about?

How does payment and the security deposit work for a Bloomingdale RV rental?

Payment is straightforward and secure on RVezy. You pay through the platform with a credit or debit card at the time of booking, never directly to the host, which protects both sides. A refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on RV size and value) is held on your card before pickup and released after drop-off, assuming no damage. To keep your deposit smooth: take a thorough video walkaround at pickup AND drop-off, return the RV with a full fuel tank and empty waste tanks, and clean up before handing back the keys. Pro tip: message your host the morning of return to confirm dump-and-fuel expectations, it avoids most common deposit disputes.

Family RV trip Bloomingdale itineraries often loop Lithia Springs for the natural spring, Hillsborough River for the kayaking, then a Gulf beach for the finale.
