I would to thank Carlos Acuna and his wife the the excellent rental RV they provided for me at the EAA Sun-n-Fun event in Lakeland, Florida recently. They provided a beautiful and extremely clean RV for us. They accomplished a complete setup and gave me a very good briefing on the operational aspects of the RV. The personal touches such as the personalized Welcome sign, snacks, coffee, and other items were greatly appreciated. I will definitely attempt to rent from them again in the future.

Anna was warm and considerate, chatting with us both before we left and again when we returned the camper. Anna also provided us oranges as a gift how nice is that! Great Experience! I Highly recommend! All you need to do is bring yourself, your clothes, and some food. Just about everything else is provided. They have a weight distribution hitch (which saved me a lot of money). They even had the cable to hook up my generator. Their A/C blew ice cold air, the refrigerator kept everything cold and the freezer worked perfectly. If you can get fresh water, you leave and have hot showers! All you have to do is back up your vehicle, hitch it up and go have fun. The owners are Very helpful and communicate very quickly to help with any questions you have. I would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend them. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Summer (June through September) brings 90°F+ heat, daily afternoon storms, and Atlantic hurricane season, but it's also when nightly rates are lowest and many campgrounds have openings. I've never driven an RV before, can I really do this in the Orlando area?

You absolutely can, and Celebration is one of the easier launch points in Florida for a first time renting an RV. Roads around Celebration and Kissimmee are flat, wide, and well-marked, and I-4, US-192, and US-17/92 all have generous lanes. Every RVezy host provides a pre-trip walkthrough covering driving, leveling, hookups, and the basics of waste tanks, expect 30 to 60 minutes of hands-on orientation before you pull away. If you're nervous about driving in tourist traffic, choose a Class B campervan or travel trailer under 25 feet, or simply book delivery so the RV is already parked when you arrive. You'll feel confident by the end of day one.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort sites are released 499 days in advance and the premium loops disappear quickly, especially for Christmas, spring break, and Star Wars marathon weekends. Florida State Parks like Lake Louisa open reservations 11 months ahead through ReserveAmerica, and waterfront sites go in minutes when the window opens at 8 a.m. ET. Private parks like Tropical Palms, Orlando/Kissimmee KOA, and Sun Retreats ChampionsGate usually have availability 2 to 6 weeks out for non-holiday dates. Local insider tip: if you're flexible, midweek arrivals in late January or early February deliver the best campgrounds near Celebration with the easiest reservations.

What are local driving conditions like around Celebration?

Driving an RV around Celebration is genuinely manageable, the terrain is flat with no mountains or steep grades anywhere in Central Florida. The main routes you'll use are US-192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway), I-4, and the Florida Turnpike, all of which handle big rigs daily. Watch for two local quirks: tourist traffic on I-4 between exits 62 and 75 can get heavy from 4 to 7 p.m., and summer afternoon thunderstorms can drop visibility fast (pull off and wait 20 minutes, they pass quickly). Avoid the narrow streets inside Celebration's downtown village with anything over 25 feet, and use the Walmart on US-192 or Posner Park for easy RV-friendly fuel stops. Smooth sailing from there.

Most RV parks near Celebration, including Tropical Palms, Sun Retreats ChampionsGate, and Orlando/Kissimmee KOA, offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, heated pools, laundry, and on-site dump stations. Disney's Fort Wilderness adds internal bus service, restaurants, and nightly campfire programs. For potable water fill-ups and dump stations outside campgrounds, the Flying J on US-192 and the Pilot at I-4 exit 58 both have RV service lanes. Most parks also have propane refill on site, so you can top off without leaving. Pro tip: ask your host whether the RV has a built-in 30-amp or 50-amp shore cord so you can match it to your campsite hookup at booking, it avoids any surprises at arrival.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is fully handled inside the RVezy platform, so there's no cash or off-platform exchange with the host. You pay your total securely by credit card at booking, with funds released to the host after your trip starts. A refundable security deposit is placed as a hold (not a charge) on your card a few days before pickup, typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV, and it's released back to you a few days after return assuming everything comes back the way it left. To avoid any deposit issues, return the RV on time, refueled, with tanks dumped if required, and document any pre-existing scratches with photos during the walkthrough. Easy, predictable, and protected.
