What a wonderful time. We are first time campers. This experience was great. Rebeca was so accommodating. She answered all of our questions and concerns promptly. I would definitely rent from her again and recommend her trailer to my family and friends. The RV was comfortable and just the right size for my wife myself. Everything worked perfectly.

This was our first time renting a camper, we chose MiKasta owned by Alberta. I have to say, that this was one of the most enjoyable times we had. Alberta was a gentleman and awesome host. The camper and service was top notch! We stayed at Santos camp ground which a group of us do every year during Thanksgiving and I can tell you, we will be back and requesting MiKasta again next year for sure.

Terry and his wife were awesome! They let us look at the rv before we booked it. Terry took the time to answer any questions we had. Terry and his wife went over everything before we left. Return was easy too. Definitely recommend this rv to rent plenty of room, nice and clean plus Terry is always there to answer your questions.

Our first time renting an RV and we didn’t know what to expect. Delivery of the RV was prompt and Big Jeff set everything up for us. Many of the items we brought were already there for use which was really great. I’m particular about our pillows and towels so we brought those along with our toiletries but everything else was there! Fantastic experience and great service with the delivery, setup and tear down. Would highly recommend.

Meet all our expectations. Will definitely use Big Jeff for future needs.

You can reach St. Augustine (40 minutes), Savannah (2 hours), or even Orlando's theme parks (2.5 hours) with room to spare. If you're planning a longer RV road trip from Jacksonville, look for listings with generous or unlimited mileage: just check the details before booking. Want a Florida Keys adventure? Let your host know your plans up front! The open road is yours.

Where can I park an RV overnight near Jacksonville?

You have fantastic choices for RV camping in Jacksonville! Try Little Talbot Island State Park for beachside sites, Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park for wooded spots just steps from the ocean, or Pecan Park RV Resort for full hookups and pool access near the airport. Remember, overnight parking at public beaches and city streets is usually not allowed, but Walmart in some suburbs and Cracker Barrel off I-95 sometimes allow RVs overnight with manager approval. Book campgrounds early: spring and fall weekends fill fast!

What's the best time of year for an RV trip to Jacksonville, FL?

The sweet spot for a Jacksonville RV trip is October through April: mild temps (50-75°F), low humidity, and nearly bug-free evenings. Summer has beach action and city festivals, but expect 85-95°F, high humidity, and pop-up thunderstorms: perfect if you want the full Florida experience and don't mind the heat. Pro tip: Book in March for azaleas in bloom along the scenic byways, or late October for ideal hiking weather. RV camping in Jacksonville shines when you time your trip like a local.

Is RV camping in Jacksonville beginner-friendly?

Absolutely: Jacksonville is one of the best places in Florida for first-time RV renters. Hosts give a detailed walk-through at pickup or delivery, showing you everything from hookups to the TV. Many campgrounds offer pull-through sites and gentle roads, so driving and parking your first RV rental in Jacksonville is a breeze. Plus, you can message your host with questions before and during your trip. Your first RV adventure is easier than you think: most renters are hooked after trip one.

What happens if I break down or need help during my RV trip?

Relax: every RV rental in Jacksonville comes with 24/7 roadside assistance as part of your RVezy protection package. Whether you have a flat tire on the Dames Point Bridge or need a jump at Hanna Park, help is quick and professional across Florida roads. Save the emergency number from your booking, and you're covered for common RV issues so your vacation stays stress-free. Confidence with every mile: that's the RVezy difference for RV camping in Jacksonville.

Can I take my Jacksonville RV rental out of state or to Canada?

Planning a big RV road trip from Jacksonville? You can travel to other U.S. states: just tell your host your route so they know you're exploring beyond Florida. Heading to Canada is possible on some rentals, but check the listing specifics and contact your host before booking. Travel to Mexico is not covered. Most popular routes from Jacksonville include trips along A1A to Georgia, the Blue Ridge Parkway, or down to the Everglades. The nation's top adventures are all within reach.

How do I budget for gas and travel costs on my Jacksonville RV trip?

For most motorhome rentals in Jacksonville, plan for 8–12 miles per gallon: campervans get a bit more, bigger Class A RVs a bit less. Gas averages about $3.30/gallon locally (check before you go). Take advantage of grocery stores near I-295 and beach areas to stock up, so you're not relying on pricier campground stores. Use mileage filters to find RV rentals with unlimited mileage if you're going far. Efficient planning means more budget for fun stops like Amelia Island and St. Augustine.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Jacksonville?

Book popular Jacksonville area campgrounds 2–6 months ahead for weekends or holidays, especially spots at Hanna Park, Little Talbot Island, and Pecan Park RV Resort. Florida State Park camping reservations open at 8 a.m., 11 months before your trip, and fill up fast in spring and fall. Private RV parks may have last-minute availabilities but don't wait during busy seasons. Pro tip: Reserve through ReserveAmerica for public campgrounds and call private parks directly for best results.

What are driving conditions like in Jacksonville?

Jacksonville roads are mostly flat and easy, but traffic on I-95 and the downtown bridges can get busy during weekday rush hours (7–9 a.m. and 4–6 p.m.). Summer thunderstorms can flood roads quickly: just pull over safely and wait it out. Watch for low-clearance bridges if you head toward older downtown neighborhoods. For peace of mind, hosts can deliver and set up your RV so you avoid the city traffic entirely. Most travelers love how simple driving an RV in Jacksonville feels.

What amenities can I expect at Jacksonville campgrounds?

Expect full hookups (electric, water, sewer) at Pecan Park RV Resort, shaded electric/water sites at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park, and waterfront primitive camping at Little Talbot Island State Park. Many campgrounds have clean restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, dump stations, dog parks, and even wifi. Hanna Park is a local favorite for its lakes, mountain bike trails, and easy walk to the beach. Don't forget many offer easy RV delivery and setup for maximum comfort.

What features and add-ons can I expect in Jacksonville RV rentals?

Jacksonville RV rentals come with choices: expect queen beds, family bunks, full kitchens, bathrooms with showers, air conditioning (essential in Florida!), TVs, and plenty of storage. Lots of motorhome rentals in Jacksonville offer extras like camp chairs, outdoor grills, kayaks, or even bike racks: just check listing descriptions. Filter for wifi or generators if you want those amenities. Message the host to see exactly what's included so you pack lighter and travel smarter.

What are the popular add-ons or pickup details for Jacksonville RV rentals?

Many Jacksonville RV rentals offer convenient options like cleaning service, kitchenware, linen kits, or early pickup and drop-off for a small fee: perfect for hassle-free trips. Some hosts even include kayaks or paddleboards to let you explore the St. Johns River or local lakes. Mileage is usually generous, but for longer trips, filter for "unlimited mileage." Want RV delivery to a festival, beach, or driveway? Many hosts offer that as an easy add-on: just check before booking and customize your adventure.

How does payment and the security deposit work for RV rentals in Jacksonville?

Booking your Jacksonville RV rental on RVezy is safe and straightforward. You'll pay securely through the platform, and a security deposit (typically $500–$1000) will be held and then refunded after your trip if the RV returns as it left. Make sure you walk through the vehicle with your host at pickup and drop-off: take photos for your peace of mind. Staying communicative and following the simple guidelines will help ensure a fast and smooth refund every time.
