My wife and I are thinking of buying an RV and decided to rent one and see if it was a good fit. What a stroke of luck it was finding Kerri and her rental unit. It was perfect for the two of us. We didn't need to pack anything but our tooth brushes. This camper had everything you needed from chairs to games to a completely stocked bathroom with anything you would need to refresh. It was exactly what a couple of novice campers needed. You will not be disappointed renting this unit. Kerri deserves 5 stars.

Travel trailers typically start around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes run roughly $175 to $275 per night, and larger Class A coaches fall in the $250 to $400 range. Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Yulee?

Great news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Yulee, Florida. The state's standard Class E driver's license covers recreational vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) up to 26,000 pounds, which includes virtually every motorhome, campervan, travel trailer, and fifth wheel on the RVezy platform. No Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and no special endorsement required. You'll need to be 25 or older with a valid license, and RVezy verifies your ID securely through the platform during booking. Visiting from abroad? Pick up an International Driving Permit before your trip and you're set to roll.

What protection comes with my Yulee RV rental?

Every RV rental in Yulee, FL booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit Highway A1A or I-95 with confidence. The protection plan covers most physical damage to the vehicle during your trip, giving you real financial peace of mind. During checkout you choose your coverage level, picking the plan that fits your trip plans and comfort with the deductible. Hosts don't choose your protection, you do. What's the cancellation policy if my plans change?

Booking an RV in Yulee is low-risk. RVezy applies a consistent cancellation policy to every reservation, including a full money-back grace period right after you book. Beyond that window, your eligibility for a refund depends on how far out you cancel relative to the pickup date. The policy is set by RVezy, not by individual hosts, so it's consistent across every listing you browse. You can review the current terms during checkout and reach RVezy support anytime if your plans shift. Book with confidence, then start planning your beach days on Amelia Island.

Can I bring my dog on a Yulee RV trip?

Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental in Yulee is easy to find: just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy and you'll see listings whose hosts welcome four-legged co-pilots. Many Nassau County campgrounds love dogs too. Fort Clinch State Park allows leashed pets in the campgrounds and on most trails, and the beaches at nearby Peters Point and Main Beach on Amelia Island have designated pet-friendly stretches. Pack a tie-out, a collapsible water bowl, and proof of vaccinations (Florida state parks sometimes ask). Pro tip: message your host before booking to confirm pet fees and any breed or size notes so check-in is smooth.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite in Yulee?

Yes, RV delivery in Yulee is one of the most popular options on the platform, and it's a game-changer for first-time renters. Many local hosts will tow or drive the RV to nearby campgrounds like Fort Clinch State Park, Bow & Arrow Campground, or a private address in Yulee, Fernandina Beach, or Jacksonville, then level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before they leave. Use the Delivery filter to see which listings offer this service and the delivery radius. It's perfect if you're flying into Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), about 25 minutes south, and want to skip driving a big rig from day one.

How far can I drive on a Yulee RV trip?

Yulee is one of the best launchpads in Northeast Florida for an RV road trip. Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach are just 15 minutes east, Jacksonville sits 25 minutes south, St. Augustine's historic district is about 75 miles south, and Savannah, Georgia is roughly 2 hours up I-95. Cumberland Island ferry departures in St. Marys, GA are only 20 minutes north. Each host sets their own mileage policy: some include a generous daily allowance, and a few offer RV rental with unlimited mileage. Filter listings by mileage and message your host if you're planning a longer Florida loop down to the Keys or out to Pensacola.

Where are the best campgrounds near Yulee?

The best campgrounds near Yulee mix beach, marsh, and old-Florida forest. Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach (about 12 miles east) offers 69 sites split between the oak-shaded Amelia River loop and the open Atlantic Beach loop, with 30/50 amp hookups and a dump station. Bow & Arrow Campground right in Yulee has 60 quiet, wooded sites on five acres. Horne Lake RV Park on Hance Parkway has 73 sites, a heated pool, and easy I-95 access. Lofton Creek Campground on FL-200 rounds out the local options. For a Georgia twist, Crooked River State Park sits 30 minutes north across the border.

When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Yulee?

The sweet spot for RV camping in Yulee runs from mid-October through April, when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 65 to 78°F range, humidity drops, and the bugs ease up. March and November are local favorites: warm sunny days, cool nights, and the lowest rainfall of the year (November averages under 2 inches). Summer (June through September) brings 90°F heat, high humidity, daily thunderstorms, and Atlantic hurricane season, so plan around the forecast and prioritize RVs with strong air conditioning. Winter is mild and a snowbird favorite. Pro tip: book a February trip and catch shrimp season festivities on nearby Amelia Island.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?

First time renting an RV? You're in the right place. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through driving, leveling, hookups, the propane system, slide-outs, the generator, and the toilet, so you leave feeling confident, not confused. Yulee is also a forgiving spot for new drivers: flat terrain, wide roads, and an easy hop onto I-95 or quiet US-17. Many hosts will deliver and set up the RV at your campsite, removing the driving piece entirely. You can message your host anytime during the trip, and RVezy's support team is just a tap away if a question pops up.

What happens if something goes wrong on the road?

You're covered. Every RV rental in Yulee, FL includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the standard renter protection plan, so a flat tire on A1A, a dead battery at Fort Clinch, or a tow on I-95 is handled with one phone call. RVezy's support team is also available around the clock before, during, and after your trip. Your host is usually your fastest resource for RV-specific quirks (like resetting the inverter or relighting the water heater) and you can message them directly from the app. Save the roadside number to your phone before pickup and you're set to relax.

Can I take my Yulee RV rental across state lines or into Canada?

Yes, your Yulee RV rental is great for an interstate road trip. From here you can cruise north on I-95 into Georgia (Savannah, the Golden Isles, and Cumberland Island ferry are all within 2 hours), south through Florida to St. Augustine, Daytona, or the Keys, or west toward Tallahassee and the Gulf Coast. Cross-border travel into Canada may be permitted, but you'll need to confirm with your host and RVezy before booking so insurance and paperwork line up. Travel into Mexico is not allowed on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage doesn't extend there. Pro tip: a popular Yulee RV road trip is the I-95 coastal run to Charleston, SC.

What should I budget for fuel on a Yulee RV trip?

Fuel is usually the biggest variable cost on a Yulee RV trip, so plan ahead. Class B campervans get roughly 18 to 22 miles per gallon (MPG), Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 MPG, and Class A coaches typically run 6 to 10 MPG. Florida gas prices tend to track near the national average, and Yulee has plenty of large-vehicle-friendly stations along US-17, FL-200, and the I-95 exits at William Burgess Blvd. For a 300-mile weekend loop to St. Augustine and back, budget roughly $80 to $150 in fuel depending on the rig. Pro tip: GasBuddy and the Pilot/Flying J app help you find the cheapest diesel near I-95.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Yulee?

For the best campgrounds near Yulee, the earlier the better. Fort Clinch State Park opens reservations 11 months in advance through the Florida State Parks reservation system, and waterfront sites in the Amelia River loop are often snapped up the day they release, especially October through April. Private parks like Bow & Arrow and Horne Lake RV Park usually have more flexibility and can sometimes be booked just a few weeks out. For holiday weekends (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Memorial Day) plan 3 to 6 months ahead. Pro tip: if Fort Clinch is full, set a cancellation alert, last-minute openings pop up regularly inside the 30-day window.

What are driving conditions like around Yulee?

Driving an RV around Yulee is genuinely easy, the terrain is flat, the roads are wide, and there are no mountain grades or tight switchbacks. I-95 cuts right through town for fast north-south travel, US-17 and FL-200 (A1A) handle local routes, and the Thomas J. Shave Jr. Bridge over the Amelia River into Fernandina Beach is RV-friendly. Watch for afternoon summer thunderstorms (June to September), which can drop visibility quickly, and slow down for sudden coastal fog on winter mornings near the marshes. Heads up: if you head east onto Amelia Island, some downtown Fernandina streets are narrow, delivery is the simpler choice for bigger rigs.

What amenities will I find at Yulee-area campgrounds?

Most campgrounds near Yulee are well-equipped for a comfortable stay. Fort Clinch State Park offers 30/50 amp electric, water hookups, dump stations at each loop, heated bathrooms with hot showers, and laundry, though there are no sewer hookups at individual sites. Bow & Arrow Campground and Horne Lake RV Park both offer full hookups (water, electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, and laundry, with Horne Lake adding a heated pool and game room. Potable water fill stations are available at every park listed. Pro tip: if you're staying at Fort Clinch, use the dump station on your way out, the loop entrance station has the easiest pull-through access.

What's inside a typical Yulee RV rental?

RVs on RVezy are someone's personal rig, so they tend to be well-loved and well-equipped. A typical motorhome rental in Yulee includes a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with shower and toilet, sleeping for 4 to 8 people, a dinette that converts to a bed, climate control, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many listings add a TV, Wi-Fi hotspot, outdoor speakers, awning, generator, and a stocked kitchen. Travel trailers and fifth wheels offer similar interiors without the drive cab. Check the listing's amenities section closely and message the host if you need something specific like a CPAP outlet or a king bed. Bedding and towels are often available as an add-on.
nhtsa.gov/road-safety/rv-safety

What add-ons and pickup options should I expect?

Hosts on RVezy offer a friendly menu of add-ons that make your Yulee trip easier. Common extras include bedding and linen packs ($25 to $75), kitchen kits, camp chairs, propane fills, generator hours, bike racks, and pet cleaning fees. Delivery and setup is the most popular add-on around Yulee, with many hosts servicing Fernandina Beach, Jacksonville, and Kingsland, GA. Mileage policies vary: some listings include 100 to 150 free miles per night, others offer unlimited mileage for an upgraded rate. Pickup is typically at the host's home in Yulee or a nearby meeting point. Pro tip: confirm delivery distance and pickup time in your pre-trip message to avoid surprises.
fdot.gov/

How do payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy at checkout with a credit or debit card, no cash changing hands with the host. A refundable security deposit is held on your card before pickup, with the amount set by the host based on the RV's value. The hold is released after the trip once the host confirms the RV came back in good shape and within the agreed mileage and generator hours. To avoid deposit issues, take date-stamped photos at pickup and dropoff, return the RV with the same fuel and tank levels you started with, and message your host through the platform if anything comes up. That paper trail keeps everything smooth.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

How do I plan a family RV trip from Yulee?

A family RV trip from Yulee is hard to beat. Start with two nights at Fort Clinch State Park to explore the Civil War fort, ride bikes under Spanish moss, and beachcomb on Amelia Island. Day three, head south about 75 miles to St. Augustine for the Castillo de San Marcos and the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. Cap off the week with a ferry from St. Marys, GA to Cumberland Island's wild horses (just 20 minutes north of Yulee). Filter listings by sleeps count and Pet-Friendly, message the host about kid-friendly bedding, and ask about RV delivery to Fort Clinch, it makes the whole trip easier. Save the Buccaneer Trail scenic drive for your last afternoon.
