How much does it cost to rent an RV in Salem, IL?

On RVezy, travel trailers typically run about $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes range from $150 to $250 per night, and larger Class A motorhomes go from $200 to $350 per night. Because hosts set their own nightly rates, you'll also find budget-friendly options like older travel trailers and pop-ups that work well for weekend escapes to Stephen A. rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Salem,%20IllinoisDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Salem, IL?
Great news for first-time renters: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Salem, IL for almost every motorhome and travel trailer on RVezy. Illinois exempts personal-use recreational vehicles from Commercial Driver's License (CDL) requirements, and the vast majority of rentals on the platform fall well under the 16,000-pound threshold where Illinois weight-based classes kick in. You'll also need to be at least 25 years old, and RVezy verifies your ID right inside the booking flow. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) and you're set to hit Route 50 toward Carlyle Lake.
ilsos.gov/departments/drivers/drivers_license/classifications.htmlWhat protection is included with my Salem RV rental?

The protection plan covers physical damage to the RV while you're using it, so a stone chip on Interstate 57 or a scraped awning at the campground won't ruin your trip. During checkout you choose between different coverage levels so you can pick what fits your comfort and budget, hosts don't decide this, you do. It isn't traditional auto insurance, but it's substantial financial protection designed specifically for peer-to-peer RV rental in Illinois.

Booking is low-risk. RVezy sets a clear cancellation policy across the platform, not individual hosts, so you'll know exactly where you stand. There's a money-back grace period right after booking, and refund eligibility after that depends on how far out you are from your trip start date. Because the policy is platform-wide, you won't see cancellation terms buried in each Salem listing. Pro tip: book early to lock in the best rigs for Stephen A. Forbes State Recreation Area weekends, knowing the RVezy cancellation policy has you covered if plans shift.
