Thanks to Chrystal and her husband we had a wonderful and relaxing time on vacation. The rental, delivery, and set up went smoothly, and the camper was so cozy and comfortable with plenty room. Chrystal even had a snack basket for us with all kind of goodies we enjoyed. Plan to rent again in April !!

Kelsey was very responsive as this was our first time renting/driving/experiencing an RV. Easy pick up and drop off and she was great to work with. The RV was very clean. We did have to provide sheets for the other two beds as the only sheets provided were the ones for the queen, but that wasn't a huge deal, as we liked having our own linens. She had plenty of towels and kitchen amenities. Everything was very clean. But for the fridge that stopped working on our way back and the base of the toilet slowly leaking clean water (none of these were her fault), everything went very smoothly.

What happens if I need to cancel my Murray RV rental?

Booking is low-risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy at the platform level, not the individual host, so the rules are consistent across every listing in Murray. If a host cancels on you, RVezy refunds your booking or provides travel credit so your plans stay protected. Can the RV be delivered to my campsite near Murray?

Yes, RV delivery Murray is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-time renters. Many local hosts will tow a travel trailer or fifth wheel straight to your site at Wildcat Creek Campground, Waters Edge RV Park & Marina on Blood River, or into LBL's Energy Lake or Hillman Ferry campgrounds, then level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through everything before they leave. Use the Delivery filter on the search page to see who offers it and how far they'll travel. It's the easiest way to enjoy a Murray RV trip without ever towing a thing yourself.

How far can I drive, and what's a typical mileage policy?

You'll have plenty of range for a great Murray RV trip. Hosts on RVezy set their own mileage allowances, but most include 100 to 150 free miles per day, with the option to prepay extra miles or hunt for an RV rental with unlimited mileage using the search filters. From Murray, that easily covers a loop through Land Between the Lakes (about 25 miles east), Paducah (50 miles northwest), Nashville, TN (about 130 miles south), or even Mammoth Cave National Park (about 175 miles east). When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Murray?

Western Kentucky has a generous RV season. The sweet spot for RV camping Murray runs from mid-April through late October, when daytime highs sit between 70°F and 90°F and Kentucky Lake is at full summer pool. July and August bring humid 90°F afternoons (great for swimming), while winter trips are possible too, since many local campgrounds stay open year-round and bald eagles arrive at LBL from December through February. Pick your season and the lake delivers.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?

You're going to love it, and Murray is one of the friendliest places in America to learn (Rand McNally and USA Today literally named it the Friendliest Small Town in America). When you pick up your RV, the host gives you a full walkthrough covering hookups, slide-outs, tanks, the generator, and driving tips. For first time renting an RV, ask the host for a travel trailer or Class C, both forgiving to drive on the flat, two-lane roads around Kentucky Lake. You'll also have 24/7 roadside support and the host's number on speed dial. Within an hour of pickup, you'll feel like a pro.

What if I have a breakdown or roadside issue?

You're covered around the clock. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection package, so a flat tire on the Woodlands Trace National Scenic Byway, a dead battery at Hillman Ferry, or a tow needed on US-641 is one phone call away. RVezy's support team can also reach your host quickly for mechanical questions. Cell service can be spotty deep inside Land Between the Lakes, so save the roadside number to your phone before you head out, and screenshot the host's contact info too. Pro tip: top off the gas tank in Murray or Cadiz before entering LBL, fuel is limited inside.

Plan ahead and you'll get the prime sites. You'll find some of the easiest RV driving in the country here. The terrain around Murray is gently rolling, roads are wide, and traffic is light outside of Murray State University game days. US-641 north toward Kentucky Lake and US-68/KY-80 across LBL (the Woodlands Trace National Scenic Byway) are scenic, well-maintained two-lane highways with generous shoulders. Watch for deer at dawn and dusk inside LBL, a few sharp curves on the lake's back roads, and occasional spring thunderstorms from March through June. The Eggners Ferry Bridge over Kentucky Lake on US-68 is your main east-west crossing and easily handles big rigs. Smooth sailing the whole way.

Expect a real bed (or two), a kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and sink, an indoor bathroom with shower, air conditioning, a furnace for those cool Kentucky nights, and seatbelts for every passenger. Most Class C motorhomes and travel trailers near Murray sleep 4 to 8, and many include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and outdoor speakers for lakeside evenings. Some hosts offer generators or solar for boondocking inside Land Between the Lakes basic campsites. Each listing shows photos and a full amenities list, so you'll know exactly what you're booking before you click.

What add-ons can I get, and how does pickup work?

Murray hosts make trips turnkey. Common add-ons include linens and bedding packages, kitchen kits, outdoor camp chairs and tables, fire pits, bike racks, kayaks, generators, and Starlink Wi-Fi, each priced individually on the listing page. Pickup is typically at the host's home in or near Murray, with a 30 to 60-minute walkthrough included, or you can choose a campervan rental Murray host who offers delivery directly to your campsite. Mileage and generator-hour policies are spelled out on each listing, so there are no surprises. Pro tip: ask for the kayak add-on if you're staying near Blood River or Jonathan Creek, those quiet coves are made for paddling.

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment is simple and secure. You pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card when you book, and your trip total covers the nightly rate, service fees, the protection plan you choose, and any add-ons. A refundable security deposit is held separately on your card before pickup, typically a few hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on the RV, and released after drop-off as long as the RV is returned clean, undamaged, and on time. To avoid hiccups, take date-stamped photos at pickup and drop-off, refill propane and fuel as the host requires, and empty the tanks at a dump station before returning.

Can I drive a Murray RV rental across state lines or into Canada or Mexico?

Cross-state road trips are absolutely on the table. Murray sits less than 10 miles from the Tennessee state line, so trips to Nashville, Memphis, the Great Smoky Mountains, or southern Illinois (Shawnee National Forest is just 90 miles north) are no problem on an RVezy rental. Travel into Canada may be allowed with specific host approval and confirmed insurance coverage, so message the host directly from the listing before booking if that's your plan. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because insurance coverage doesn't extend there. Otherwise, the open road from Murray is yours, from the Mississippi River to the Appalachians.
