We had a great time with this little trailer! Took it across the border with no issues, and it fit two adults and our 15 month old with ease. Liliane was also great at responding and helping us first time campers figure out the trailer set up. We'd definitely rent it again!

Julian is a great host, very flexible and responsive. He is very thoughtful with all the amenities in the RV, all the basics cleaning supplies, cookwares, toiletries and whatever you can find. The RV was cleaned and ready to go when we arrived. The Delano drives well and with lots of space once extended. We have a great trip.

Our RV rental experience for a weekend at Hamlin Beach State Park exceeded expectations in every way. Gary and Kim demonstrated exceptional communication, provided a thorough walkthrough of the camper, and checked in periodically to ensure our stay was going smoothly. The camper itself was impressive–beautifully maintained, spacious, and thoughtfully stocked with games, supplies, and all the essentials needed for a comfortable camping trip. Their attention to detail made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. We would confidently recommend this rental to anyone looking for a stress‑free and memorable getaway.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Victor, NY
How much does an RV rental in Victor, NY typically cost?
Renting an RV in Victor, NY is more affordable than most people expect, with travel trailers often starting around $90 to $150 per night and Class C motorhomes ranging from $175 to $300 per night during peak summer. Because Victor sits in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine country and just 20 minutes from Rochester, you'll find competitive pricing from local hosts on RVezy with options for every budget. To score a cheap RV rental Victor travelers love, book midweek stays in May or late September when wineries are still busy but rates dip. Pro tip: bundling 5+ nights often unlocks weekly discounts directly from the host.
visitfingerlakes.com/Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Victor, NY?
Good news: your standard New York State Class D driver's license (or the equivalent from your home state) is all you need to rent an RV in Victor, NY. There's no Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special endorsement required for any motorhome or travel trailer available on RVezy, including larger Class A models. All renters must be 25 or older, and you'll verify your ID quickly through the RVezy platform during booking. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Pair your home license with an International Driving Permit (IDP) before you arrive. Most first-timers are surprised how simple the licensing side is, leaving more time to plan your Finger Lakes wine tour.
dmv.ny.gov/driver-license/get-driver-licenseWhat kind of protection comes with my RVezy booking in Victor?
Every RV rental in Victor booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit Route 96 with peace of mind. During checkout you choose from several protection tiers, letting you decide how much coverage feels right for your Finger Lakes trip. The protection helps cover damage to the RV, which means a small parking-lot scrape at Eastview Mall or a gravel ding on the way to Ganondagan State Historic Site won't derail your vacation. Review tier details on RVezy before booking, then pick your level, pack the cooler, and go.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if my plans change after I book an RV in Victor, NY?
RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not the individual host), which makes it lower risk to lock in your Victor RV trip early. Every booking includes a grace period right after you reserve, and refund eligibility after that depends on how many days remain before your trip start date. If a host ever cancels on you, RVezy refunds your booking or helps you rebook. You can review the current cancellation policy in your RVezy account or the Help Center anytime, so go ahead and book the rig you love now and finalize campground plans later.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Victor, NY RV trip?
Absolutely, the Finger Lakes are made for adventure pups. Plenty of hosts offer pet-friendly RV rental in Victor, and you can find them in seconds using the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy. Once you're rolling, your dog will love Dryer Road Park and Fishers Park in Victor for shaded leash walks, and the Auburn Trail offers miles of easy crushed-stone paths starting near the village. Most local campgrounds, including those around Canandaigua Lake, welcome leashed dogs at your site. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm any pet fees and bring a 6-foot lead, since New York State Parks require dogs to be leashed at all times.
parks.ny.gov/regulations/Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Victor?
Yes, and RV delivery is one of the easiest ways to start your Victor trip stress-free. Many RVezy hosts in the Victor and Rochester area will drive the motorhome or travel trailer straight to your campground, set it up, level it, connect hookups, and walk you through every system before they leave. This is ideal for first-time renters or anyone who'd rather skip towing a trailer down I-90. Popular drop-off areas include campgrounds around Canandaigua Lake and Bristol Hills. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy and check the host's delivery radius, included mileage, and any per-mile fee, which typically runs $2 to $4 per mile beyond the free zone.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Victor%2C%20New%20YorkHow far can I drive from Victor on a typical mileage allowance?
You can cover most of the Finger Lakes and beyond without breaking a sweat. Many RVezy hosts in Victor include 100 to 150 free miles per night, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage if you message ahead. From Victor, Canandaigua Lake is about 15 miles south, Watkins Glen State Park is roughly 65 miles, Letchworth State Park (the Grand Canyon of the East) is about 55 miles southwest, and Niagara Falls is around 90 miles west via I-90. Even a long loop to the Adirondacks fits comfortably in a week with a mid-tier mileage package. Pro tip: if you're planning a big loop, ask the host about a flat-rate weekly mileage package.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Victor%2C%20New%20YorkWhere are the best campgrounds near Victor, NY?
You're spoiled for choice. The best campgrounds near Victor, NY include Bristol Woodlands Campground (25 minutes south, wooded sites with full hookups), Cheshire Farms Campground near Canandaigua (gorgeous family-run spot with a pond, about 20 minutes away), Ontario Beach RV Park on Lake Ontario (40 minutes north for sunset swims), and Hejamada Campground in Geneva (45 minutes east, walking distance to Seneca Lake wineries). For a state park feel, Letchworth State Park's campgrounds are worth the 1-hour drive southwest. Pro tip: most Finger Lakes private campgrounds open mid-April and close mid-October, and weekend sites disappear by March, so reserve early once your RV is booked.
parks.ny.gov/parks/letchworthWhen is the best time of year for an RV trip in Victor, NY?
Late May through mid-October is prime time for RV camping Victor visitors dream about, with summer highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s°F and crisp, sunny fall days in the 50s and 60s°F. September and early October are the local insider's pick: the Finger Lakes grape harvest is in full swing, wineries are buzzing, and the foliage along Route 21 toward Naples turns brilliant red and gold. July and August are warmest and busiest, ideal for swimming in Canandaigua Lake. Winter (December to March) brings real lake-effect snow and temps in the teens, so most campgrounds close, but a few winter-ready RV hosts on RVezy do rent year-round for cozy cold-weather getaways.
weather.gov/buf/I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving in Victor?
You've got this, and Victor is honestly one of the easier places in New York State to learn. Roads like Route 96, Route 251, and the I-490 corridor are wide, well-maintained, and far less hectic than NYC or even downtown Rochester. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup: starting the generator, dumping tanks, leveling, awning, propane, the works. If you're first time renting an RV, start with a Class C motorhome (drives like a big van) or have the host deliver a travel trailer to your site. Pro tip: do a practice loop through the quiet roads near Ganondagan State Historic Site before heading onto the Thruway.
dmv.ny.gov/about-dmv/driver-manuals-and-practice-testsWhat happens if something goes wrong with the RV on my trip?
Help is one phone call away, 24/7. Every RVezy booking in Victor includes round-the-clock roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, covering common issues like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing. If you hit trouble on I-90 near Victor or out at Watkins Glen, call the number in your RVezy app and a local provider is dispatched. Your host is also reachable through in-app messaging for quick how-to questions like why the water pump won't prime. Pro tip: snap a photo of the RV's VIN and license plate on day one so you can share it instantly if you ever need service.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Victor RV rental on a road trip to Canada or other states?
Yes to both, with one quick step. Many RVezy hosts in Victor allow cross-border travel into Canada (Niagara Falls, Ontario is about 1.5 hours west, and Toronto is roughly 3 hours via the QEW), but you must get written approval from the host before your trip so they can update insurance documentation. An RV road trip from Victor easily reaches the Adirondacks (about 4 hours northeast), Cleveland and the Lake Erie shore (about 4 hours west), or coastal New England within a long weekend. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Bring your passport for Canada and message the host early so paperwork is ready before pickup day.
cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/know-before-you-goWhat should I budget for fuel on an RV trip from Victor, NY?
Fuel is the biggest variable cost, but it's easier to budget than you'd think. Class C motorhomes around Victor average 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class B campervans get 16 to 20 mpg, and a truck towing a travel trailer typically returns 10 to 14 mpg. Gas in the Rochester/Victor area generally runs $0.10 to $0.30 cheaper than New York City prices, with stations along I-90 and Route 96 in Farmington usually offering the best rates. For a typical 4-day Finger Lakes loop covering 300 miles, plan on roughly $100 to $180 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Victor or Farmington before heading into smaller lakeside villages, where prices climb noticeably.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Victor?
For the best sites, aim for 3 to 6 months ahead, especially for summer weekends and fall foliage season. New York State Parks (including Letchworth and Watkins Glen) can be reserved up to 9 months in advance through ReserveAmerica, and prime waterfront sites at Canandaigua-area parks often sell out the day they open. Private campgrounds like Bristol Woodlands and Cheshire Farms take direct reservations and tend to fill weekends by April. Midweek? You can often grab a site a week out, even in July. Pro tip: book your RVezy rental first, then your campground, since the campsite's length and hookup type (30-amp vs 50-amp) depend on the rig you choose.
newyorkstateparks.reserveamerica.com/What are driving conditions like around Victor and the Finger Lakes?
Mostly relaxed and RV-friendly. Victor sits at the intersection of I-90 (the New York State Thruway) and Route 96, both wide and easy in a motorhome. Watch for rolling hills on Routes 64 and 21 heading toward Bristol and Naples, where grades hit 6 to 8% in spots, so downshift and take it slow. From late November through March, lake-effect snow off Lake Ontario can blanket the area quickly, with Rochester averaging around 100 inches of snow per winter. Avoid narrow village streets in Pittsford and Canandaigua during peak Saturday wine-tour traffic. Local insider tip: use Route 96 instead of I-90 when traveling to Geneva, it's prettier, toll-free, and easier in a big rig.
511ny.org/What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Victor?
Most campgrounds in the Victor and Finger Lakes area offer full hookups (water, electric 30/50 amp, and sewer), hot showers, dump stations, and Wi-Fi at the office. Bristol Woodlands and Cheshire Farms include swimming pools, playgrounds, and laundry. State park campgrounds like Letchworth provide electric and water but require you to use a central dump station on exit. For free dumping and fresh water on the road, the Flying J in Pembroke (off I-90 exit 48A, about 35 minutes west of Victor) is a popular RVer stop. Pro tip: confirm your site's amp service when reserving, as older Finger Lakes parks sometimes only offer 30-amp, which limits running two AC units at once.
parks.ny.gov/camping/What's typically included inside a motorhome rental in Victor?
Modern comfort, basically a small apartment on wheels. A typical motorhome rental Victor hosts offer includes a queen or king bed, full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and sink, a wet or dry bathroom with shower and toilet, dinette seating that converts to extra sleeping space, air conditioning, furnace heat, and seatbelts for everyone traveling. Most rigs include a TV, and many list onboard Wi-Fi or a cellular booster, which is handy in the rolling Finger Lakes terrain where cell signal occasionally dips. Generators are standard on Class A and Class C motorhomes for off-grid power. Pro tip: check the listing's 'Amenities' section to confirm specifics like an outdoor shower or solar panels before booking.
nhtsa.gov/road-safety/recreational-vehicle-safetyWhat add-ons and options can I get with my Victor RV rental?
Tons, and they make life easier. Popular add-ons from Victor-area hosts include linen and towel packages ($30 to $75), kitchen kits with dishes and cookware ($25 to $50), bike racks, outdoor camp chairs, portable generators, propane fire pits (a hit at Canandaigua-area campgrounds where wood fires can be restricted in dry summers), and pre-stocked grocery starters. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Victor, Farmington, or nearby Rochester suburbs, with check-in windows commonly 1 to 4 PM and return by 11 AM. Mileage policies vary, so confirm the per-night allowance and overage fee (typically $0.30 to $0.45 per extra mile). Pro tip: ask about a generator-hours allowance if you plan to boondock.
fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations/rvsHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is simple and fully handled inside the RVezy platform, with no cash, checks, or off-platform transfers needed. You'll pay the rental total securely by credit card when you book, with the protection plan and service fees clearly itemized upfront. The security deposit is separate from your booking payment and is held by RVezy, then released after your trip once the host confirms the RV came back in good shape. To avoid issues, take time-stamped photos of the interior and exterior at pickup and drop-off, return the RV with the agreed fuel level and tanks emptied where required, and stay within your mileage allowance.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works
