This was our first time renting and our first time experiencing our "own" camper and weren't sure what to expect. We were surprised at how easy and convenient it was for rookies like us! The camper was nice and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Fireplace was a nice touch when a cool front moved in. It was nice to arrive and have the camper set up and waiting and pickup when we left. We were worried about messing something up, and the delivery and pickup process helped with that anxiety.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Center, TX?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Center, TX. Texas does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for any RV under 26,001 pounds, which covers essentially every motorhome and travel trailer on the RVezy platform. RVezy approved drivers are generally 25 or older, and your ID is verified securely through the booking process. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring your home country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP). I've never driven an RV before. Is renting in Center, TX a good place to start?

Center, TX is honestly one of the easiest places in the country for first time renting an RV. Traffic is light, the roads are wide and flat, and you're surrounded by quiet two-lane highways like US-96 and US-59 that let you build confidence before tackling anything bigger. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup, covering driving, hookups, slide-outs, and the dump valve, and they're a text away during your trip. Pro tip: book a Class C motorhome rental Center, TX or a smaller travel trailer for your first time, they drive much like a large van. A practice loop around Toledo Bend's lakefront roads is the perfect confidence builder before heading further afield.

Your host is also reachable directly through the RVezy app for quick questions, and RVezy customer support is on standby before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: save the roadside number in your phone before you leave the driveway, and snap a photo of your VIN, you will be back on the road quickly.

Travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental, as insurance coverage does not extend there. Confirm your route with your host before booking, especially for long multi-state trips. Pro tip: a classic loop from Center crosses into Louisiana for South Toledo Bend State Park, then up to Natchitoches, all within an easy two-day drive.

Pro tip: weekday arrivals (Sunday through Thursday) almost always have openings even in peak season, perfect for a stress-free family RV trip Center, TX.

A refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV) is pre-authorized on your card before pickup, not actually charged, and released after trip completion if there are no issues.
