Diego was great!. Was my first time renting a traveling trailer and using the site. I was a little nervous to rent cause you dont know what will happen. I didnt calculate the correct size truck for the trailer. Diego was a problem solver and helped me solve my issue. He went out of his way to deliver the trailer to the campsite and pick it up when done. He did a lot more to accommodate the situation and went above and beyond to make this trip meaningful. I had two family members pass away last year, and extended family for the first time planned this camping trip together and it was very important we went and that I had a trailer for my family of 6. Diego made sure the trip went through and got the rental up there for us. Means a lot! I see why he is a super host and is just a great soul. Thanks Diego we will be renting from you again and again.

We had a wonderful time staying in this RV for our Lagoon trip. Everything was setup up beautifully when we arrived and felt very inviting - little details like nice decor and the outdoor setup with a large rug and nice camp chairs made a noticeable difference. The rv was very clean and all beds made meticulously (we have not had this experience with all rentals - oftentimes the bunks are not made and/or sheets not provided when we were told sheets included). Appreciate Lincoln being responsive but at the same time very laid back (not 100s of questions as we have had before, adding stress). Would definitely rent again!

What happens if I need to cancel my North Salt Lake RV rental?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy applies a clear, guest-friendly cancellation policy to every reservation, including a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in your dates with confidence. When is the best time to take an RV trip from North Salt Lake?

I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay starting in North Salt Lake?

You'll do great, and you're not alone: first time renting an RV is how most RVezy trips start. Your host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering everything from leveling jacks to the propane system, and you can text or call them anytime during your trip. North Salt Lake is an ideal launch point because I-15 and US-89 are wide, well-marked, and lead straight to easy destinations like Antelope Island or East Canyon State Park without tight switchbacks. Avoid Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons in a Class A on day one. Pro tip: ask your host to record a short video of the dump-station process. You'll thank yourself on day three.

How much will fuel cost on a North Salt Lake RV trip?

Realistic fuel economy ranges from 18 to 22 mpg for a campervan, 8 to 12 mpg for a Class C motorhome, and 6 to 9 mpg for a Class A or a truck towing a fifth wheel. How far in advance should I book a campground near North Salt Lake?

For the smoothest North Salt Lake RV trip, book popular campgrounds 4 to 6 months ahead, especially for summer weekends and any holiday. Utah State Parks like Antelope Island and East Canyon open reservations 4 months out through ReserveAmerica's Utah State Parks portal, while U.S. Forest Service sites in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons release windows 6 months ahead on Recreation.gov. Private parks like Sun Outdoors Salt Lake City and the KOA can often be booked 2 to 4 weeks out, even in peak season. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for exactly 6 months before your target date at 8 a.m. Mountain Time, when Recreation.gov releases new inventory, to grab the most coveted lakeside or canyon sites.

What are driving conditions like around North Salt Lake?

Driving around North Salt Lake is mostly easy, with wide interstates and clear signage, but a few local tips make a big difference. I-15 and I-215 handle most RV traffic smoothly, though rush hour from 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. can get heavy heading into Salt Lake City. Avoid Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons in larger Class A motorhomes due to steep grades, switchbacks, and seasonal traction laws from November through April. Summer brings occasional afternoon thunderstorms and strong canyon crosswinds, while winter can mean ice on shaded sections of I-80 over Parleys Summit. Pro tip: check the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Traffic app before any mountain leg, it's free and updated minute by minute.

What amenities should I expect at campgrounds near North Salt Lake?

Local campgrounds run the full spectrum, so you can match the experience to your style. Private parks like Sun Outdoors Salt Lake City, the KOA, and Cherry Hill offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, laundry, pools, and on-site dump stations. State parks like Antelope Island's Bridger Bay typically provide vault toilets, potable water fill stations, and a dump station, but limited or no hookups. National forest sites up the canyons are usually dry camping with vault toilets only. Pro tip: top off fresh water and dump tanks at Sun Outdoors or the Maverik on Redwood Road before heading to dry sites, and pack a 25-foot drinking-water hose plus a sewer hose extension for the longer pads at older state parks.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

You pay your trip total at booking using a credit or debit card, and the host receives funds after pickup. Pro tip: do a thorough pre-trip walkaround with your host and snap timestamped photos and a short video of the interior, exterior, and odometer. It is the single best way to keep your deposit return smooth and quick.

Can I rent an RV in North Salt Lake during the winter for a ski trip?

Yes, and it's one of the most underrated ways to do a Utah ski week. Many North Salt Lake hosts keep winter-ready rigs on the road year-round, equipped with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, propane furnaces, and the ability to plug into shore power at a winterized campground. Sun Outdoors Salt Lake City stays open all winter with full hookups, putting you 30 to 45 minutes from Alta, Snowbird, Brighton, Solitude, Park City, and Deer Valley. Pro tip: book a rig listed as four-season or winterized, plan to stay at full-hookup parks rather than dry-camping in the canyons, and ask your host for a heated water hose so your fresh-water line never freezes overnight at 20°F.
