The trailer was in good condition, with a comfortable queen bed. The fridge and A/C were in good working order. This was our first experience staying in a trailer, and Tyler did a great job describing how to operate the generator, view the tank gauges, and other features in the trailer

It was our second time renting an RV. The owners are nice and helpful throughout the rental experience. Emily was generous on giving us a thank you gift of s'more kit with a card. The RV was clean and neat. The RV was smooth and easy to travel with since we had a similar size and model before when we traveled. Overall just happy to have owners that were understanding and good hospitality.

Great experience.

Absolutely the best vacation we have ever had! Clark made it possible with is fabulous and well stocked RV. This was our 2nd time renting and the last person we rented from gave us a dirty rv, not stocked as advertised (who needs 4 coffee pots and no silverware?) and the cabinets all flew open with every turn on the first experience. Clark renewed our wanting to rent and maybe buy and RV since his was clean and he was so easy to work with and everything in the unit worked as it was supposed to! Night and Day difference with Clark and the other person. Not sure when we can do another epic 2 week trip, but when we do, we will be contacting Clark!

Colten was kind, responsive & helpful. It was a great rig for us and our kids/grand kids visiting from Austin. It was very rainy the first day & the first time ever i popped popcorn in the microwave & we watched a movie snuggling grandkids. So much fun!

Robin C. - Jul 2025

Colton is a great host and has a great trailer. Clean, and stocked well. He takes great care of his equipment and it shows. This is our third year renting from Colton and will do so again.

Moab and Arches National Park are about 215 miles southeast (around 4 hours), Bryce Canyon is 240 miles south (about 4 hours), Capitol Reef is 195 miles (3.5 hours), and Salt Lake City is just 55 miles north. Where are the best campgrounds near Spanish Fork for an RV trip?

Spanish Fork is surrounded by excellent campgrounds for every style of RV camping. Canyon View RV Park on Powerhouse Road offers sites with water and electric hookups plus a dump station, open seasonally from spring through mid-October. The Provo KOA is just minutes north with full hookups, a pool, and family amenities. Up Spanish Fork Canyon, Diamond Fork Canyon's Forest Service campgrounds (like Palmyra and Cherry) offer creekside sites among the aspens. Payson Lakes Campground sits about 15 miles south at higher elevation, perfect for summer escapes. Pro tip: book Canyon View directly through Spanish Fork City and reserve Forest Service sites on Recreation.gov.

When is the best time to visit Spanish Fork in an RV?

Late May through early October is the sweet spot for RV camping in Spanish Fork, but the shoulder seasons truly shine. June and July bring warm 80 to 90°F days perfect for Utah Lake and canyon hikes, while September and early October deliver crisp nights, golden aspens in Diamond Fork Canyon, and far fewer crowds. April and May are budget-friendly with temperatures in the 60s and wildflowers along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Winters are snowy and cold (often in the teens and 20s), so cold-weather RV rentals are limited. Pro tip: time your trip for the late-September Festival of Colors at the Krishna Temple, a uniquely Spanish Fork experience.

I'm first time renting an RV. Will I be able to handle it?

You will do great, and you will not be left to figure it out alone. Every RVezy host in Spanish Fork provides a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through driving tips, generator use, the propane system, slide-outs, water tanks, and dumping. If you are nervous about driving a big rig, choose a Class B campervan or a smaller Class C, both of which handle like a large van. Better yet, book a host who offers delivery so the RV is set up and ready when you arrive. Pro tip: practice in a spacious parking lot near Spanish Fork Sports Park before hitting US-6 toward the canyon.

Your host is also reachable by message for questions about the RV's specific systems, and RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: snap photos of the RV at pickup during the walkthrough so any pre-existing wear is documented from the start.

Can I take my Spanish Fork RV rental across state lines or to other national parks?

Yes, you can absolutely turn your Spanish Fork RV rental into a multi-state road trip. Most RVezy hosts welcome travel throughout the lower 48 states, making it easy to chain together Utah's Mighty 5 national parks or head to Yellowstone (about 320 miles north), Grand Teton, or even the Grand Canyon's North Rim. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend there. Cross-border travel into Canada may be allowed with host approval, so message before booking. Pro tip: a classic RV road trip from Spanish Fork loops south through Moab, Bryce, Zion, and back via I-15.

What should I budget for fuel on a Spanish Fork RV trip?

Fuel is one of the biggest variables, but easy to plan for. Most Class C motorhomes in Spanish Fork average 8 to 12 miles per gallon (mpg), Class B campervans get 16 to 20 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (typically 10 to 14 mpg). Utah gas prices generally run a little below the national average. For a 4-day, 400-mile loop to Moab and back in a Class C, plan on roughly $130 to $180 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Spanish Fork or Price before heading deep into Capitol Reef country, where stations are sparse and prices climb.

How far ahead should I book campgrounds near Spanish Fork?

Book early and you will thank yourself later. For Forest Service campgrounds in Spanish Fork Canyon, Diamond Fork, and Payson Lakes, reservations open up to 6 months ahead on Recreation.gov and summer weekends often fill within hours. Utah State Parks like Utah Lake and Deer Creek (just 30 minutes away) take reservations several months out through the Utah State Parks reservation system. Canyon View RV Park in Spanish Fork is reservable through Spanish Fork City and tends to fill on holiday weekends. Pro tip: midweek arrivals (Sunday through Wednesday) are far easier to book and often cheaper per night.

What are the driving conditions like around Spanish Fork?

Driving around Spanish Fork is mostly straightforward thanks to wide interstate access on I-15 and well-maintained US-6 through Spanish Fork Canyon. The canyon does climb steadily toward Soldier Summit at 7,477 feet, so plan for slower speeds in larger RVs and downshift on descents. Summer afternoon thunderstorms can bring sudden gusty winds along I-15, and winter brings snow, ice, and occasional canyon closures. Check UDOT Traffic before any mountain leg of your trip. Pro tip: avoid driving Spanish Fork Canyon during peak Friday afternoon ski-season traffic, and use the Spanish Fork Walmart parking lot to practice tight turns before heading out.
udottraffic.utah.gov/

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Spanish Fork?

You'll find a great mix of options for RV camping Spanish Fork. Canyon View RV Park offers water and electric hookups (no sewer at the site) with an on-site dump station. The Springville/Provo KOA has full hookups (water, 30/50 amp electric, and sewer), Wi-Fi, a pool, and laundry. Forest Service campgrounds in Diamond Fork and Payson Lakes provide picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and potable water, but no hookups, so you'll boondock off your tanks. For dumping and freshwater between trips, the Maverik on Main Street and Canyon View RV Park's dump station are convenient. Pro tip: top off water in town because canyon spigots shut off after first frost.

What's included inside a typical RV rental in Spanish Fork?

Most Spanish Fork motorhome rentals come fully equipped and ready to camp. Expect a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink, cookware), a bathroom with toilet and shower, sleeping for 2 to 8 depending on layout, a furnace and air conditioning, seatbelts for travel, and often a TV. Many hosts include extras like a generator for off-grid stays at Diamond Fork, outdoor chairs, and starter kits with linens and kitchenware. Wi-Fi varies, so ask your host or plan to use a mobile hotspot. Pro tip: confirm whether bedding, towels, and a propane top-off are included so you know exactly what to pack for your Spanish Fork getaway.

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about for my Spanish Fork RV rental?

RVezy hosts in Spanish Fork offer a flexible menu of add-ons to customize your trip. Popular extras include linen and kitchen kits, portable generators, bike racks, camp chairs, propane refills, and pet cleaning fees. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Spanish Fork, Springville, or Payson, with many hosts offering delivery within a set radius for a flat fee. Mileage policies vary: some include unlimited mileage, others offer 100 to 150 free miles per day with a small per-mile charge after. Pro tip: bundle linen and kitchen kits so you can fly into Salt Lake City and arrive with just a backpack.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Spanish%20Fork%2C%20Utah

How does payment and the security deposit work for a Spanish Fork RV rental?

Payment is simple and secure through the RVezy platform: you pay online with a credit or debit card when you book, with no cash exchanged with the host. A refundable security deposit is held or pre-authorized separately from your booking payment to cover potential damage, excess mileage, or cleaning beyond the host's policy. After dropoff, assuming everything is in good shape, the deposit is released back to you, typically within a few days. To avoid any issues, do the pre-trip walkthrough carefully, dump and refill tanks per the host's instructions, and return the rig on time. Pro tip: take dated photos at pickup and dropoff for your records.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

How should I prepare for cold weather if I rent an RV in Spanish Fork in spring or fall?

Spanish Fork sits at about 4,700 feet in the shadow of the Wasatch, so nights cool off fast even in May and September. Choose a motorhome rental in Spanish Fork with a working furnace and (ideally) heated holding tanks if you are traveling in shoulder season or chasing fall colors in Diamond Fork Canyon. Bring layers, a warm sleeping bag rated to around 30F, and ask your host about winterization status, propane levels, and shore-power requirements. Many Canyon View and KOA sites offer 30-amp electric so you can run a small space heater. Pro tip: October leaf-peeping along the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway is unforgettable, and an RV is the warmest way to do it.
