Diego was great!. Was my first time renting a traveling trailer and using the site. I was a little nervous to rent cause you dont know what will happen. I didnt calculate the correct size truck for the trailer. Diego was a problem solver and helped me solve my issue. He went out of his way to deliver the trailer to the campsite and pick it up when done. He did a lot more to accommodate the situation and went above and beyond to make this trip meaningful. I had two family members pass away last year, and extended family for the first time planned this camping trip together and it was very important we went and that I had a trailer for my family of 6. Diego made sure the trip went through and got the rental up there for us. Means a lot! I see why he is a super host and is just a great soul. Thanks Diego we will be renting from you again and again.

We had a wonderful time staying in this RV for our Lagoon trip. Everything was setup up beautifully when we arrived and felt very inviting - little details like nice decor and the outdoor setup with a large rug and nice camp chairs made a noticeable difference. The rv was very clean and all beds made meticulously (we have not had this experience with all rentals - oftentimes the bunks are not made and/or sheets not provided when we were told sheets included). Appreciate Lincoln being responsive but at the same time very laid back (not 100s of questions as we have had before, adding stress). Would definitely rent again!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Farmington, UT

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Farmington, UT?

Good news, RV rental in Farmington is one of the more affordable ways to explore northern Utah. Travel trailers typically run $90 to $160 per night, Class C motorhomes land between $175 and $300, and larger Class A rigs can reach $350+ per night during peak Lagoon and ski season. You can score a cheap RV rental in Farmington by traveling midweek, booking shoulder season (April to early May or late September), and choosing a smaller campervan rental in Farmington over a Class A. Pro tip: many Farmington hosts discount weekly stays by 10 to 20 percent, so if you're hitting Antelope Island and Park City on the same trip, ask about a long-stay rate before booking.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Farmington, Utah?

Great news, your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Farmington, Utah. The state of Utah does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special endorsement for any RV available on RVezy, including Class A motorhomes, fifth wheels, and travel trailers. You just need to be an RVezy approved driver (generally 25 or older) with a valid license, and RVezy verifies your ID securely through the platform during booking. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit from your home country alongside your home license. That is it, no DMV visits, no extra paperwork, and you are cleared to roll down I-15 toward your first Utah adventure.

What if I need to cancel my Farmington RV rental?

Booking an RV rental in Farmington is low-risk because RVezy, not the individual host, sets the cancellation policy across every listing. That means consistent, renter-friendly rules with refund amounts based on how far in advance you cancel relative to your trip start date. If a major weather event, wildfire smoke, or other covered disruption affects your Utah trip, RVezy's support team works with you on options. Review the current cancellation terms at checkout so you know exactly where you stand before confirming. Pro tip: book early for Lagoon weekends and Park City festivals, you will get better rig selection and still have flexibility built in.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Farmington?

Yes, RV delivery in Farmington is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers who'd rather skip driving a big rig down I-15. Many local hosts will deliver your motorhome or travel trailer directly to Lagoon RV Park, Cherry Hill Campground in Kaysville, Antelope Island State Park, or even your own driveway, then handle the full setup including leveling, slide-outs, and hookups. Use the Delivery filter to see hosts offering this service and check their delivery radius and fee, which is typically charged per mile from their location. Pro tip: pair delivery with a stationary campsite for a worry-free family RV trip in Farmington where you literally just show up, unpack, and enjoy.

Antelope Island is just 20 minutes away, Park City is 45 minutes east, Bear Lake is about 2 hours north, Arches National Park in Moab is roughly 4 hours south, and Yellowstone's west entrance is about 5 hours away. Where are the best campgrounds near Farmington, UT?

You are spoiled for choice with campgrounds near Farmington. Lagoon RV Park and Campground sits right next to Lagoon Amusement Park with shaded sites and full hookups, open spring through fall. Antelope Island State Park Campground, about 20 minutes west, offers sites with sweeping Great Salt Lake views and is open year-round. Cherry Hill Resort in nearby Kaysville is family gold with a water park onsite. For mountain RV camping near Farmington, Bountiful Peak Campground in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest typically runs late June through early September. Pro tip: book Antelope Island sites the moment your dates firm up, summer weekends fill months ahead.

When is the best time to visit Farmington in an RV?

The sweet spot for RV camping in Farmington is mid-May through late June and again from early September through mid-October, when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 70s and 80s and the Wasatch foothills glow with wildflowers or fall color. July and August are hot and dry with highs near 91°F, perfect for Great Salt Lake sunsets but bring the air conditioner. Winter brings real snow (Farmington averages 65+ inches a year) and freezing nights, but it's also when nearby Snowbasin and Powder Mountain ski resorts open, less than an hour away. Pro tip: book a September trip and you'll catch warm days, cool sleeping weather, and dramatically thinner crowds at Antelope Island.

I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay picking one up in Farmington?

You'll be just fine, first time renting an RV is exactly what RVezy hosts are set up for. Every Farmington host walks you through a full orientation at pickup covering driving tips, slide-outs, water and waste tanks, the generator, and how to hook up at the campground. You can message your host with questions before the trip and call them anytime during it, plus 24/7 roadside assistance comes standard. If big-rig nerves are still a thing, choose a smaller Class C motorhome or campervan rental in Farmington, both drive much like a large van. Pro tip: do your first night at Lagoon RV Park, it's a 5-minute drive from most Farmington pickups so you can settle in before tackling I-15.
nhtsa.gov/road-safety/recreational-vehicle-safety

What happens if something goes wrong with the RV during my trip?

You are never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so a flat tire on I-15, a dead battery at Antelope Island, or a lockout at Cherry Hill is one phone call away from help. Your host is also a direct lifeline for questions about the specific rig, things like resetting the water pump or troubleshooting the awning. For bigger issues, RVezy's support team can coordinate next steps and, when possible, a comparable replacement. Farmington's location right on I-15 means service centers in Layton, Bountiful, and Salt Lake City are all within 15 to 25 minutes. Travel knowing the safety net is real and always on.

Can I take my Farmington RV rental into other states or Canada?

Yes, your RV rental in Utah can roam, and most hosts are happy to see you explore. Popular interstate routes from Farmington include Yellowstone and Grand Teton in Wyoming (about 5 hours via I-15 north), the Tetons via Idaho Falls, southern Utah's Mighty 5 national parks, and Las Vegas (about 6 hours south). Cross-border trips to Canada may be allowed depending on the individual host and their insurance, so message them before booking to confirm. Important: travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental because insurance and protection don't extend across that border. Pro tip: share your full route with your host upfront, it helps them set the right mileage allowance and unlocks the best trip.
cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/know-before-you-go

What kind of fuel mileage will my RV get, and how should I budget?

Plan smart and fuel won't blow your budget. A Class B campervan rental in Farmington typically gets 18 to 22 MPG, a travel trailer pulled by a half-ton truck lands around 10 to 14 MPG, Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 MPG, and big Class A rigs run 6 to 10 MPG. Utah gas prices generally sit slightly above the national average, so budget roughly $4.00 to $4.25 per gallon for regular and a bit more for diesel. For a typical 4-day, 400-mile loop from Farmington to Park City and back, expect $150 to $250 in fuel for a Class C. Pro tip: fill up at Costco or Maverik on Main Street in Farmington before heading into the canyons, prices climb fast at mountain stations.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Farmington?

Book early and you'll get the spot you actually want. Antelope Island State Park opens reservations 6 months out through ReserveAmerica/Utah State Parks, and prime summer weekends are typically gone within the first hour they release. Lagoon RV Park books directly through Lagoonpark.com and fills 3 to 4 months ahead for any date when the amusement park is open. National Forest campgrounds like Bountiful Peak use Recreation.gov and open a rolling 4-month window. For a Farmington RV trip in shoulder season, 2 to 4 weeks of lead time is usually plenty. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for 6 months before your travel date and pounce the moment the booking window opens, especially for Lagoon Day weekends and 4th of July.
recreation.gov/

What are the driving conditions like around Farmington?

Driving in and around Farmington is mostly easy, the city sits on flat valley floor right off I-15 with wide lanes and clear signage to Lagoon, US-89, and Legacy Parkway. The main thing to know: avoid Farmington Canyon Road in any rented RV, it's a steep, narrow, unpaved route with no shoulders that's strictly for 4x4 vehicles. Stick to paved highways and you're golden. Winter brings snow and occasional black ice from November to March, and summer afternoons can deliver sudden gusty winds across the Great Salt Lake causeway to Antelope Island, so hold the wheel firm in a tall rig. Pro tip: drive between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. when you're new to your RV, traffic on I-15 is lightest and visibility is best.
udot.utah.gov/connect/public/road-weather-alerts/

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Farmington?

Farmington-area campgrounds are well equipped for a comfortable stay. Lagoon RV Park offers full hookups (water, electric, sewer), an onsite dump station, showers, laundry, a small store, and pedestrian access to Lagoon Amusement Park. Antelope Island State Park has sites with electric and water hookups at the Bridger Bay area, modern restrooms with showers, a dump station, and drinking water fill stations. Cherry Hill Resort in Kaysville layers in a full water park, pools, and mini golf. Most Davis County campgrounds offer potable water fills and dump stations for between-trip needs. Pro tip: top off fresh water before leaving Farmington if you are heading to Antelope Island in peak summer, water can be limited on hot weekends.

What's typically included inside an RVezy RV in Farmington?

You'll be impressed by how stocked these rigs are. Most Farmington motorhome and travel trailer rentals come with real beds (queen or king in the master, plus bunks or convertible dinettes), a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, pots, pans, plates, and utensils, a bathroom with toilet and shower, climate control with both furnace and air conditioning, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor speakers, and a generator or solar setup for boondocking near Antelope Island. Wi-Fi varies, some hosts include a mobile hotspot for an add-on fee. Linens, towels, and starter kits (toilet paper, dish soap) are often included or offered as cheap add-ons. Pro tip: check the listing's amenity list and message the host to confirm anything trip-critical like a specific bed configuration.
nhtsa.gov/road-safety/recreational-vehicle-safety

What add-ons and pickup options should I know about?

Farmington hosts make customizing your trip simple. Common add-ons include delivery and setup, generator hours, kitchen and bedding kits, camp chairs and tables, bike racks, BBQs, fishing gear for Antelope Island, and portable Wi-Fi hotspots, typically priced $10 to $50 each. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Farmington, Kaysville, Layton, or Bountiful, and most offer flexible windows between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. with a 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. drop-off. Mileage policies vary: many include 100 free miles per night with overage at $0.30 to $0.50 per mile, and some offer flat-rate or unlimited mileage packages perfect for longer Utah loops. Pro tip: bundle delivery plus a stocked kitchen kit for a true plug-and-play family RV trip in Farmington.

How do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure. You pay through RVezy's platform at booking, never directly to the host in cash, which keeps your trip protected and your payment traceable. The total includes the nightly rate, RVezy service fee, your chosen protection plan, and any add-ons. A separate refundable security deposit is pre-authorized on your credit card before your trip and released after drop-off once the host confirms no damage or policy violations. To avoid any issues, take date-stamped photos of the RV inside and out at both pickup and return, refill propane and fuel as agreed, and dump tanks if required. Pro tip: review the listing's mileage, generator, and pet policies up front so there are zero surprises at checkout.
