We had the best time in Whitney’s trailer. Everything was set up for us and all of the extras were greatly appreciated (hammock chairs, yard games, outdoor mat, solar lights, etc). She went above and beyond to make the place cozy and we had everything we needed and more. Her daughter Everlee was so sweet showing our daughters around getting them excited for their weekend. The kids slept great in the bunks and our queen bed was SO comfortable. Whitney was very accommodating and great with communication throughout planning our rental and while we were there. I HIGHLY recommend booking this trailer. You will not be disappointed!!!

Our stay in the Colorado exceeded our expectations! My family rented the RV for a family reunion and we ended up getting quite a bit of rain so we really enjoyed having such a cozy space to stay dry. The RV was very clean, spacious, comfortable and well stocked with everything we could possibly need! There was such an attention to detail with nothing missing. Iain was fantastic with communication and setup. It was overall a wonderful experience and would rent again!

This unit was a perfect home base for our 3 generation weekend camping trip. Grandma and Grandpa slept in the RV and we used the indoor and outdoor kitchens for preparing our meals. The AC was great on the warm days, and it was good to be able to eat indoors when the wasps were active during some of the meals. Lief was great in supporting us as needed.

I recently rented an RV trailer and had an excellent experience! The trailer itself was in great condition and perfect for our needs. I did encounter a small electrical issue, but Eric was incredibly responsive. My hitch receiver was too low and generously lent me his, which saved me an additional $50-60 bucks. Everything you need he supplies, just bring yourself and enjoy this sweet little rig Overall, Eric's willingness to go the extra mile made my trip enjoyable. I highly recommend renting from him, and I can’t wait for my next trip in these little units!

What license do I need to rent an RV in Republic, WA?

Great news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Republic, WA. Washington does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special endorsement for personal RVs under 26,000 pounds, which covers essentially every motorhome and travel trailer on RVezy. You'll need to be 25 or older, and the platform handles ID verification securely during booking. Visiting from outside the US? Pair your home license with an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto club before you travel. Once that's done, you're cleared to roll out toward Sherman Pass and the San Poil River.

What if I need to cancel my Republic RV booking?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy applies a clear cancellation policy to every reservation, including a grace period right after booking so you have breathing room to finalize plans. Because RVezy (not individual hosts) manages the cancellation policy, you get consistent treatment regardless of which Republic-area host you choose. Specific refund timing depends on how far in advance you cancel. If a host cancels, RVezy refunds the guest or provides travel credit. Reach out to RVezy support anytime if your plans change, and go ahead and lock in those summer dates at Curlew Lake.

How far can I drive from Republic on a typical RV rental?

You've got serious range from Republic, and many RVezy hosts include generous daily mileage, with some offering RV rental with unlimited mileage for longer adventures. Popular drives include Grand Coulee Dam (about 75 miles south, under 2 hours), Spokane (about 140 miles southeast, roughly 3 hours), Mount Spokane State Park (about 160 miles), and the Canadian border crossing at Danville (just 30 miles north). For a bigger loop, head west on Highway 20 over Sherman Pass, the highest year-round pass in Washington at 5,575 feet, toward the North Cascades. Check the mileage policy on each listing before booking and ask the host if you're planning a long Republic RV trip.

Where are the best campgrounds near Republic, WA?

Ferry Lake Campground next door is another forest service gem with lakeside sites. Tiffany's Resort on Curlew Lake offers full hookups, a marina, and cabins if friends tag along. When is the best time to take an RV trip to Republic, WA?

Late May through late September is the sweet spot for an RV road trip from Republic. July and August bring warm, dry days with highs around 78 to 80°F and crisp nights that dip into the 40s and 50s, ideal for campfires. June offers wildflowers and fewer crowds, while September delivers golden tamarack color and cooler 60s and 70s. Winters are genuinely cold (lows well below freezing and around 44 inches of annual snowfall), so most RV travel happens May through October. Pro tip: aim for the second weekend in June to catch Prospectors' Day, Republic's beloved town festival celebrating its gold-mining heritage.

I've never rented an RV before. What should I expect in Republic?

First time renting an RV? You're in great hands. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup, showing you exactly how the water pump, propane, slide-outs, generator, and waste tanks work, with no question too basic. Republic is actually one of the easier places to learn: traffic is minimal, parking is generous in town, and the surrounding highways like WA-20 and WA-21 are well-maintained two-lane roads with wide shoulders. Take a slow practice loop before heading to camp. You can also message your host anytime during the trip, and RVezy's 24/7 support is one tap away. Confidence builds fast out here.

What happens if I have a breakdown during my Republic RV trip?

You are covered. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance with the protection plan, so help is one phone call away whether you are at a Republic trailhead or on a remote forest road. The service handles flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, fuel delivery, and towing to the nearest qualified shop. Cell service can be spotty along sections of WA-20 over Sherman Pass and in the deeper parts of the Colville National Forest, so download offline maps and screenshot the support number before leaving Republic. Your host is also a great first call for quirks specific to their RV.

Can I take my Republic RV rental into Canada?

Cross-border travel to Canada may be allowed depending on the specific host and their insurance, and Republic is perfectly positioned for it: the Danville border crossing is just 30 miles north, opening the door to Grand Forks, BC and the Kootenays. Message the host directly from the listing before booking to confirm and get any required paperwork. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Bring your passport, a written letter of permission from the host if requested, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance for Canada. Pro tip: the Boundary Country wineries and Christina Lake are an easy first-day stop once you cross.

What kind of fuel mileage should I budget for in Republic?

Plan around realistic numbers and you'll cruise stress-free. Class B campervans get roughly 18-22 mpg, Class C motorhomes around 8-12 mpg, Class A coaches 6-10 mpg, and trucks pulling travel trailers usually 10-14 mpg. Gas in Republic typically tracks slightly above the Washington state average, and there's a Chevron and a Sinclair in town, so top off before heading into the Colville National Forest where stations are sparse. For a 300-mile loop in a Class C, budget around $130 to $170 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Republic or Kettle Falls rather than waiting until Curlew, where prices climb and pumps are limited.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Republic?

For peak summer (July and August), book Curlew Lake State Park as soon as the reservation window opens, which is nine months out through Washington State Parks' official reservation system. Colville National Forest campgrounds like Swan Lake and Ferry Lake can be reserved on Recreation.gov up to six months in advance, and they fill quickly for holiday weekends. Private parks like Tiffany's Resort take direct reservations year-round, often by phone. For spontaneous trips, midweek availability in June and September is usually solid. Pro tip: pair your booking with a Discover Pass (around $30 annually) for access to state parks and DNR lands across your Republic RV trip.

What are driving conditions like around Republic, WA?

Driving here is refreshingly mellow. Republic sits on Highway 20, a scenic two-lane road with light traffic, but the terrain matters. Sherman Pass, about 17 miles east, climbs to 5,575 feet, so descend in a lower gear and use engine braking rather than riding the brakes. Wildlife such as deer, elk, and occasional moose is most active at dawn and dusk, so avoid night driving when you can. Winter brings snow and ice from November through March, when traction tires or chains may be required over the pass. Check WSDOT real-time pass conditions before you roll.
wsdot.com/travel/real-time/mountainpasses/sherman

What amenities do Republic-area campgrounds offer?

You'll find a great mix. Curlew Lake State Park has full hookups (water, electric, sewer) at 18 sites plus a dump station, potable water fill, hot showers, and a boat launch. Colville National Forest campgrounds like Swan Lake and Ferry Lake are more rustic with vault toilets and potable water but no hookups, perfect for testing your RV's onboard systems. Tiffany's Resort offers full hookups, Wi-Fi, and laundry. For dumping and freshwater fills between trips, Republic has a public dump station and the city park has potable water. Pro tip: top off fresh water in Republic before heading to forest service sites so you can stay longer off-grid.

What's inside the RVs available for rent in Republic?

RVezy's Republic-area rentals come stocked for real comfort. Most travel trailers and motorhomes sleep 4 to 8 with a queen bed, convertible dinette, and bunk options, plus a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with shower and toilet, climate control, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and onboard generator or solar setup, which is gold in the Colville National Forest where shore power is rare. Wi-Fi varies (cell signal does too out here), so ask the host or bring a hotspot. Use the sleeps filter to find the right size and check each listing's amenity list for the specifics you care about.
fs.usda.gov/recarea/colville/recarea/?recid=1481

What add-ons and pickup options can I choose for my Republic RV rental?

Hosts offer a friendly menu of extras to make your trip easier. Common add-ons include linen and bedding packages, full kitchen kits, camp chairs, outdoor grills, bike racks, generators, fishing gear, and prepaid propane fills, typically ranging from $15 to $100 each. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Republic or nearby Curlew, Inchelium, or Kettle Falls, and many offer delivery for a per-mile fee. Mileage policies vary, often 100 to 150 free miles per day with overage charged per mile, while some hosts offer unlimited mileage packages. Filter by Instant Book if you want to confirm fast, and message the host with any custom requests before you reserve.

How do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure: you pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card when you book, never directly to the host in cash. A refundable security deposit is held separately from the booking payment (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV and host) and released back to your card after the trip ends, assuming the RV is returned in good condition with no policy violations. To avoid hiccups, do a quick walkaround video at pickup and dropoff, follow the mileage and generator-hour policies, and return the RV with the agreed fuel and tank levels.
