Ruckle Provincial Park anchors most outdoor itineraries. An extensive trail system exists at Ruckle Park, with more than 15 km of trail, including a shoreline trail from the heritage farm through to Yeo Point and inland routes that range from easy walks to more difficult hikes. Tidal pools, beachcombing, and the working heritage farm keep families busy for a full day. The park features ocean views from the day-use area and along the trails, as well as pastoral views of the neighbouring farm, with old farm buildings including a barn and residence. Kayaking, saltwater fishing and scuba diving are all active at Ruckle. On Galiano Island, Montague Harbour has 16 vehicle-accessible and 21 walk-in campsites, 7 kayak campsites, 40 mooring buoys, a day-use area, group shelter, a dock, and firewood for sale. Easy trails circle Gray Peninsula and the park's white shell beaches. Ganges, the island's main village, hosts a Saturday market through summer.

There are no hookups at either provincial park. Mowhinna Creek and other private operators typically offer full RV hookups with water, power and sewer, plus flush toilets and hot showers. Bring cash for firewood at provincial sites, leash pets, and pack for cool evenings even in July.
