Campgrounds and RV parks near Tsawwassen, BC

Tsawwassen sits on the southwestern tip of Metro Vancouver in the City of Delta, immediately next to the BC Ferries Tsawwassen terminal that serves routes to Victoria (Swartz Bay), Nanaimo (Duke Point), and the Southern Gulf Islands. That location makes it a practical staging point for RV travellers heading to Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, or the U.S. border at Peace Arch. There are no large RV parks inside Tsawwassen itself, so most travellers base out of nearby Surrey, Burnaby, West Vancouver, or the Gulf Islands. Peace Arch RV Park in South Surrey sits close to beaches and the border, with Highway 99 reaching downtown Vancouver in under an hour. Plaza Mobile and RV Park is another Surrey option a short drive from the ferry. For city-adjacent stays, Burnaby Cariboo RV Park and Campground Vancouver sits in the central Lower Mainland minutes from Vancouver attractions and a short walk to the SkyTrain, and Capilano RV Park is on the North Shore near Stanley Park, Capilano Suspension Bridge, and Grouse Mountain. For an island escape, Prior Centennial - Gulf Island National Park provides 17 drive-in sites on North Pender Island within the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve.

Reservation systems vary by operator. For the private parks near Tsawwassen, book directly through each park's website or by phone. Burnaby Cariboo RV Park and Campground Vancouver welcomes drive-ins but strongly recommends booking in advance, especially during peak seasons. Peace Arch RV Park and Plaza Mobile and RV Park take reservations by phone and online, and summer weekends can sell out weeks ahead. At Capilano RV Park, units must be model year 2014 or newer, a valid credit card in the customer's name is required, the maximum length of stay in summer is 14 days, and cancellations require 48 hours' notice. Tent sites there are first come, first served and cannot be pre-booked. Prior Centennial - Gulf Island National Park is 100% reservable with no first-come, first-served sites. Reservations are made through reservation.pc.gc.ca or 1-877-737-3783, with the annual Gulf Islands reservation launch in late January.
