Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint Andrews, NB

Saint Andrews sits on a peninsula at the mouth of the St. Croix River, where Passamaquoddy Bay opens into the Bay of Fundy. The town is a National Historic District, walkable, and small enough that most RV travellers base at one campground and explore town on foot or by bike. The Fundy tides shape almost every activity here, from whale-watching departures at Market Wharf to the low-tide walk across the bar to Ministers Island. The closest RV park to downtown is Kiwanis Passamaquoddy Park, an oceanfront site on Water Street with a mix of full-hookup, electric-water, and tent sites. A short drive across the border, Hilltop Campground sits above Passamaquoddy Bay near Robbinston, Maine, useful if travellers are combining a New Brunswick trip with Downeast Maine. On the Fundy Isles, Deer Island Point Park, Seaview Campground and Cottages, and Island View Camping are reached via the free provincial ferry from Letete. Expect coastal weather, cool nights even in July, and a short operating season that runs roughly from May into October.

Private campgrounds in the Saint Andrews area handle their own reservations rather than routing through a provincial system. Kiwanis Passamaquoddy Park, Seaview Campground and Cottages, Island View Camping, and Hilltop Campground each take bookings directly by phone or through their own websites. For RV travellers, full-hookup and pull-through sites are the first to sell out, so reserve as soon as travel dates are set. Deer Island Point Park is reached by the free Letete to Deer Island ferry and accepts cash only, so plan an ATM stop before boarding. Reservations are handled directly with the campground office by phone. For July, August, and long weekends, book several weeks out. For June and September midweek stays, a few days lead time is usually enough.
