We loved this trailer. Everything about this rental was easy breezy and we had the best week with our family. We especially loved the selection of excellent games!!

Kathryn K. - Aug 2025

Scarlett and John provided us with an amazing experience. We have an 8,7 and 4 year old and we all slept so soundly in the trailer. The queen bed was super comfortable and the kids loved the bunk beds. The air conditioner worked amazing and the sound of it helped us all sleep! The rv had games for the kids in it and we spent some mid the rainy day and evenings playing them. They also provided us with beach toys that we got great use of! I highly recommend this rv. It was easy to clean up after and plenty of storage for groceries. The fridge and freezer were a great size too :) we had the best time.

Frequently asked questions about campgrounds near Blenheim, ON

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Blenheim, Ontario?

RV rental in Blenheim is one of the better-value entry points into the southwestern Ontario camping scene. Expect roughly $115 to $135 per night for travel trailers, $150 to $200 per night for Class C motorhomes, and $250 to $300+ per night for larger Class A coaches, with travel trailers offering the cheapest RV rental Blenheim has to offer. Hosts often discount weekly bookings, and shoulder-season trips in May or September can shave 15 to 25 percent off summer pricing. Pro tip: filter by Instant Book and bundle a host's delivery add-on with a weekday pickup. You'll often land a better total than chasing the lowest nightly rate alone, and you'll lock in a Lake Erie weekend without the rush.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?

Absolutely, first time renting an RV in Blenheim is one of the friendliest places to start. Your host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup, covering driving tips, propane, water, dumping, the awning, and the generator, and you'll leave with their phone number for questions mid-trip. What should I budget for fuel on a Blenheim RV trip?

Fuel is one of the bigger line items, but Blenheim's flat terrain keeps it manageable. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 mpg (10 to 13 L/100km), Class C motorhomes return roughly 10 to 14 mpg (17 to 23 L/100km), and Class A coaches sit around 7 to 10 mpg (24 to 33 L/100km). Ontario gas prices typically run $1.45 to $1.65 per litre, with cheaper diesel and gas at the Petro-Canada and Pioneer stations along Highway 401 in Tilbury and Chatham. Pro tip: top up in Tilbury before heading into the Rondeau area. Rural stations are limited once you turn south off the 401, and prices climb the closer you get to the lake.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Blenheim?

Book early and you'll thank yourself. Private parks like Erie Beach Campgrounds and Rondeau Shores tend to book up 2 to 3 months in advance for summer weekends. Pro tip: if Rondeau is sold out, set a free cancellation alert with Campnab and check the Ontario Parks site daily at 7:00 a.m. Sites open up constantly as plans change.

What are driving conditions like around Blenheim?

Driving an RV around Blenheim is genuinely easy compared to most of Canada. The land is flat, Highway 401 runs straight through Chatham-Kent with wide shoulders, and rural routes like Talbot Trail and Kent Bridge Road have minimal traffic. Two things to watch: sudden lake-effect weather off Lake Erie can roll in fast (especially squalls in spring and fall), and winter snow squalls off Lake Huron occasionally bring whiteout conditions to the 401 corridor. Check Ontario 511 before you roll. Pro tip: avoid the 401 between Tilbury and London during Friday evening cottage traffic. Take the scenic Talbot Trail (Highway 3) along the lake instead.

What facilities will I find at campgrounds near Blenheim?

Campgrounds near Blenheim are well-equipped for a smooth RV stay. Rondeau Provincial Park offers electrical hookups at most sites (no individual water or sewer), a single combined dump and fill station near the south campground gatehouse, comfort stations with hot showers, laundry, and a camp store with basics and firewood. Private parks like Erie Beach Campgrounds and Rondeau Shores typically offer full hookups (water, sewer, 30/50 amp). For dumping between trips, the Chatham-Kent area has a few public dump stations, but most renters just dump at their host park before returning the RV. Pro tip: cell service is solid on Rogers and Bell in Rondeau; Wi-Fi is spotty, so download maps and shows beforehand.

What's included inside a typical Blenheim RV rental?

Most RVs you'll find for motorhome rental Blenheim and travel trailers come fully kitted: a queen or king main bed plus convertible dinette/sofa beds (sleeping 4 to 10), a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, and cookware, a wet bath or full bathroom with toilet and shower, climate control via furnace and roof AC, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, and onboard generator or solar. Wi-Fi isn't standard, so plan to use your phone's hotspot. Pro tip: when you message a host, ask whether linens, kitchen kit, and outdoor chairs are included. Many Blenheim hosts include them at no charge, which saves a Costco run.

What add-ons can I get for my Blenheim RV rental?

Hosts in Blenheim love making your trip turnkey, and add-ons reflect that. Common options include delivery and setup ($75 to $300 depending on distance), generator use ($3 to $5 per hour), bike racks, BBQ packs, kitchen/linen kits ($25 to $75), camp chairs, and outdoor mats. Pickup and dropoff are typically scheduled in late morning so you can hit the road for an afternoon arrival at Rondeau. Mileage policies vary by host (200 to 400 km/day is common), and a generator add-on is worth it if you're booking a non-electric site. How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment for your RV rental in Blenheim is straightforward and handled entirely through RVezy. You pay your trip total by credit card at booking, and a refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV) is pre-authorized on your card a few days before pickup, not charged. As long as the RV comes back in the condition it left, the hold is released within a few business days after your trip ends. Pro tip: do a thorough video walkthrough with your host at both pickup and dropoff, paying attention to the exterior, awning, and tanks. It's the single best way to keep your deposit return smooth and stress-free.
