Campgrounds and RV parks near Sagamok, ON

Sagamok sits on the North Shore of Lake Huron in northeastern Ontario, between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie. RV travellers use it as a base for reaching provincial parks along the Trans-Canada Highway corridor and for crossing south to Manitoulin Island via Highway 6. The nearest full-service provincial option is Chutes Provincial Park, a 109-hectare park along the Aux Sables River near Massey, positioned as the only provincial park in this stretch of northern Ontario between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie. The park has 130 campsites, of which 79 are serviced with electricity, making it suitable for most rented trailers and motorhomes. Private options in the wider area include Waterfalls Lodge Inc and Batmans Cottages Tent And Trailer Park on the mainland, plus Mindemoya Court Cottages and Campground and Stanley Park Campgrounds on Manitoulin Island. Together these give renters a mix of serviced RV pads, waterfront sites, and cottage-adjacent camping within roughly an hour of Sagamok.

Ontario Parks sites, including Chutes Provincial Park, are reserved through the Ontario Parks reservation service. The booking window opens at 7:00 a.m. Eastern Time, five months in advance of the arrival date, on a rolling daily basis. Popular weekends in July and August fill quickly, so booking on the day the window opens is important for peak-season stays. Weekday arrivals improve availability. Private campgrounds in the area are booked directly with the operator by phone or email rather than through a central portal. Mindemoya Court Cottages and Campground takes reservations by phone or email, and similar direct-booking practices apply at Waterfalls Lodge Inc, Batmans Cottages Tent And Trailer Park, and Stanley Park Campgrounds. For long weekends, contact private operators several months ahead.
