Campgrounds and RV parks near Broad Brook, CT

Broad Brook is a village within East Windsor in north-central Connecticut, sitting between Hartford and the Massachusetts border and close to Bradley International Airport. The location makes it a practical base for RV travelers exploring the Connecticut River valley, the Farmington Valley trail system, and the southern edge of the Pioneer Valley in Massachusetts. The surrounding region blends private family campgrounds with a network of Connecticut state park campgrounds. Nearby private options include The Quarry Campground, Wilderness Lake Park, Mineral Springs Family Campgrounds, Southwick Acres Campgrounds just across the state line in Southwick, Massachusetts, and Nelson's Family Campground south of Hartford in East Hampton. Most offer full or partial hookups, pools, and weekend activities geared to families and seasonal campers. Connecticut's public campgrounds add rustic and wooded alternatives within an hour or two of Broad Brook, though they trend smaller and fill quickly on summer weekends. Trip planners should mix and match to balance amenities, proximity, and access to attractions in Hartford, Springfield, and the Litchfield Hills.

Private campgrounds such as The Quarry Campground, Wilderness Lake Park, Mineral Springs Family Campgrounds, Southwick Acres Campgrounds, and Nelson's Family Campground take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Popular summer weekends, especially around the Fourth of July and Labor Day, often sell out well in advance, and many parks require a two- or three-night minimum on holidays. Connecticut state park campgrounds are booked through the state's ReserveAmerica portal up to 11 months ahead of arrival, with a two-night minimum on most advance reservations. Some campgrounds accept walk-ins when sites are available, while a few require reservations at least 48 hours ahead.
