The biggest family draw within 20 minutes of Cheshire is Lake Compounce in Bristol, an amusement and water park with roller coasters, kids' rides, and Crocodile Cove. Campers staying at Bear Creek Lake Compounce Campground can use the shuttle to reach the park entrance directly. Outdoor options concentrate in the Western Highlands.
