Campgrounds and RV parks near East Brooklyn, CT

East Brooklyn sits in Windham County in the northeastern corner of Connecticut, an area local tourism materials call the Quiet Corner. The village is a short drive from Danielson, Killingly, and the Rhode Island line, which puts RV travelers within reach of state parks, private resorts, and rural lakefront campgrounds without long highway hauls. The closest state-managed option is Mashamoquet Brook State Park in Pomfret, roughly fifteen minutes west via Route 44. Private RV parks cluster east and south of East Brooklyn: Hide-A-Way Cove Campground and Stateline Campresort and Cabins sit on the Killingly side near the state line, Gibson Hill RV Park is in Sterling, and River Bend Campground is in Oneco, closer to Pachaug State Forest. Most campgrounds in the area cater to families, with pools, playgrounds, and lake or pond access. Full hookups are available at several private parks, while the state park loops are geared toward tent and smaller-RV camping with limited utilities.

Mashamoquet Brook State Park uses the Connecticut State Parks reservation system on ReserveAmerica. Reservations are required, walk-ins are not accepted, and bookings must be made at least 48 hours before arrival. The window opens up to 11 months in advance. The Wolf Den loop (sites 1-35) has flush toilets, showers, drinking water through Labor Day, and paved pads; the Mashamoquet Brook loop (sites 41-60) is more rustic with centrally located portable toilets and no showers or running water. Pets are not allowed at either loop, and firewood cannot be brought in from out of state. Private parks such as Stateline Campresort, Hide-A-Way Cove, Gibson Hill RV Park, and River Bend take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites and booking platforms. Summer weekends and holidays fill early, so booking several months out is standard for full-hookup sites.
