Campgrounds and RV parks near Hazardville, CT

Hazardville is a village within the town of Enfield in north-central Connecticut, sitting near the Massachusetts state line and roughly midway between Hartford and Springfield. The location puts RV travelers within an easy drive of campgrounds in both the Connecticut River Valley and the wooded hills just across the border in western Massachusetts. Options in the immediate area range from full-hookup family resorts to quieter, wooded sites. Connecticut's state park and forest system offers campsites and rustic cabins reservable through a central portal. Private parks nearby include The Quarry Campground, Mineral Springs Family Campgrounds, Southwick Acres Campgrounds, Wilderness Lake Park, and Sunsetview Farm Camping Area. Most travelers use Hazardville as a base for day trips to the Farmington River, Bradley International Airport pickups, or the Berkshire foothills. Sites suited to larger Class A and Class C rigs cluster at the private parks, while state forest campgrounds tend to favor smaller travel trailers and tents.

Connecticut state park and forest campsites are reserved through ReserveAmerica, the state's central portal, or by calling the toll-free reservation line. Bookings are accepted up to 11 months in advance of the arrival date, with a two-night minimum for most advance reservations. Private campgrounds such as The Quarry Campground, Mineral Springs Family Campgrounds, Southwick Acres Campgrounds, Wilderness Lake Park, and Sunsetview Farm Camping Area handle their own reservations by phone or through their websites. For summer weekends, book eight to twelve weeks out. Confirm rig length limits, hookup type (30 vs. 50 amp), and slide-out clearance before arrival, especially at older wooded sites.
