Campgrounds and RV parks near Biscayne Park, FL

Biscayne Park is a small residential village in northeast Miami-Dade County, part of the Miami metropolitan area in South Florida. The village itself is roughly 0.6 square miles of tree-lined streets with no campgrounds inside its limits, so RV travelers base themselves at private parks in surrounding Miami-Dade and Broward County and use Biscayne Park as a quiet reference point between the city, the beaches, and the two national parks to the south. Within a short drive, Florida Park Miami and Twin Lakes Travel Park sit in the northern Miami-Dade area, while Northcoast Park and Marina, Hollywood KOA, and Yacht Haven Park and Marina cluster just over the county line in Hollywood and nearby Broward communities. All are full-service private RV parks rather than public campgrounds, which is typical for this urbanized stretch of coast. The closest public camping is well south, in Everglades National Park near Homestead, and at state parks along Biscayne Bay. Most RV travelers combine a private park base near the city with day trips to those protected areas.

Private RV parks in the Miami and Hollywood area, including Florida Park Miami, Hollywood KOA, Northcoast Park and Marina, Twin Lakes Travel Park, and Yacht Haven Park and Marina, are booked directly through each park's website or reservation line. Many of these parks accept long-term winter guests first, so short-stay RV travelers should confirm nightly availability early, especially for January through March weekends. Public sites use different systems. Frontcountry campgrounds at Everglades National Park (Flamingo and Long Pine Key) are managed by the Flamingo Adventures concessionaire and booked through their website or phone line. Wilderness backcountry permits for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Wilderness are booked on Recreation.gov, opening on a rolling 90-day window at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. Florida State Parks use their online reservation system, with an eleven-month booking window for Florida residents and a ten-month window for non-residents.
